I was surrounded by blood in a torturous silence. Flowers bloomed elsewhere, but even massive carpets of blooms could not overcome the stench of death that permeated this place. My surroundings were completely dark, except for a light illuminating just the surrounding area.

Where was I? What was this ominous place?

I struggled to grasp, retain, and understand. This place felt like death itself, which had always been a shocking thing - a time for tears, rituals, and reminiscing.

I watched a sunflower slowly wither away. There was no way to track the passage of days. There was no grave to pile stones on in remembrance. Then I heard a husky male voice reciting a prayer.

"Please help her. Help her to rise. Guide her. Give her enough strength to pass the challenge. The fierce luna should have to returned"

A Luna?

The goddess Luna appeared to be praying. People's faces were reflected on a large, dead plant leaf - first my parents, then my stepfather's visage vanished as the leaf was blown away by the wind. A monstrous sound whispered in my ear, howling a name.

"Jezz...z.z." It calls me three times.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" I asked.

The voice that had been calling out to me abruptly fell silent, leaving me with an uneasy feeling that some unseen force sought to control me. Then, I heard a new voice from within.

"I am Abby Jezz, your wolf."

"A wolf? I don't like animals, and I don't have pets." I replied

"No, it's not like that. Because I am you, it means I live within you."

How did it happen?

"I have lived within your body, since you were born"

"Like a twin?"

"Yes" She replied.

"I just woke up. I'm sorry you're having a hard time, but those are the signs that I need to wake up from sleep."

"But I'm not a monster, I'm human."

"The twins and Mr. Albanzo will help you to understand and support you in your first training."

Why them? I asked myself, but there were no words I heard after.

I was being flared with sadness and beat with a black rage. Am I all alone...?

"Why?" I was asking myself. Like the sound of drums, it made me tremble inside. Until... I heard mom's voice.

"Sweetie, wake up," I heard mom say.

I opened my eyes. Realizing it was just a dream, I sat up in bed, confused about the strange visions and conversation with a wolf I couldn't explain.

Glancing at the alarm clock, I saw it was 6:30 AM. I tidied my room before showering, as I always ensure everything is neat and orderly. This small routine brings me comfort when I return home.

Preoccupied by the odd dream, I carefully applied mascara and smoothed my long hair so I appeared unbothered. Entering the kitchen, my mother's eyes followed me, a broad smile across her face.

"Are you trying to impress a certain set of twins this morning?" She asked.

"Mom, I got ready this morning for myself, not for anyone else," I replied gently. "I just wanted to look and feel my best today."

She smiled knowingly and patted my cheek. "Of course, sweetie. I understand." If only she knew I was trying to impress my teacher, not the twins.

"I should get going so I'm not late," I said, hoping to avoid more prying questions.
