"Where did you go? I'm losing sight of you!" the lynx cried out.
"I'm right here! Don't worry!"said Aron a few feet in front of her.
The fog wasn't helping their escape. It was only a thick white wall ahead of them. The two could hear the doctor yelling inside of the mansion behind them. To Aron, going down the steep forested hill was going to be a challenge.
"Do you still see me?" Aron directed behind him.
"Yes!" the lynx replied.
"You can't run from me!" the doctor shouted in the distance.
"Keep going!" the lynx shouted.
Aron's crawling speed was at a good pace. His vision, however, wasn't the greatest due to limited visibility. Aron could feel the ground below him as he crawled further down the hill, until, he didn't feel anything but air on his paws. He and the lynx crawled right off of a ledge and went shooting down twenty feet.
"UGH!" Aron said as he hit the forest floor.
"Uh... uhhhhh... ahhhh!" the lynx said as she made her fall behind him. "UGH!" She had landed right on top of him.
Aron groaned painfully. The lynx followed suit.
"Oh my... god! Are you okay....?!"the lynx asked.
"Uhh... give me some air." Aron said straightening himself out. He breathed a few long breaths.
"Thanks for stopping my fall." the lynx said.
"Uh... huh.... no... problem." Aron said while wheezing.
"You cannot hide from me! I created you!" Whitworth yelled as he was getting closer.
"We have to continue on!" the lynx said.
"I need a.... few... moments... to catch... my breath." Aron said.
"We're gonna get killed if we stay here!" the lynx shouted back.
"I have... an idea." Aron said quietly.
He whispered his plan to the lynx. She nodded in agreement. The two crawled away in opposite directions from their falling place.
"I'm getting closer!" Whitworth shouted while running. "I will not have any more escapees on my record!"
"Aron, he's right behind us!" the lynx deviously screamed.
"My leg, I can't move my leg!" Aron yelled.
"Almost there!" the doctor hollered out. I'll send you to your maker before you know AAAAAAGHHHHHH!" Whitworth went falling off of the same ledge. "OUMPH!"
Right after Whitworth hit the forest floor, Aron lunged at him, tackling him into a nearby tree. The lynx then slapped the doctor hard in the face with her paw. The doctor leaned over motionless.
"Is he... dead?" Aron asked. The lynx went over to check his vitals.
"No... I still feel a heart beat."
"I'll grab his weapon. We need to leave now. He could have called for back-up that we don't know about."
"True! Let's get going!" the lynx said.
Aron grabbed Whitworth's gun and the two journeyed on. They went a little slower knowing it was some what of a steep area. They crossed many forested snowy hills, and eventually crossed a road, trying their best not to be seen. Aron and the lynx eventually came to an unfrozen stream.
"Want to stop for a rest? Maybe a drink?" the lynx asked.
"Drinking out of a stream?" Aron responded.
