''Will you marry me?'' The words flew from his mouth, and my stomach dissolved into a sea of butterflies, before a smile grew upon my face- showing all my teeth. Tears filled my eyes, and I found myself speechless, just nodding my head.

''Yes.'' I laughed. ''Yes, yes, yes.'' I squealed as he placed the ring on my finger. It had a delicate silver band, with a gorgeous diamond right in the centre, all of its tiny crystals glimmered when it hit the light. As soon as it was on my finger, I leaped into his arms, as he lifted me up and spun me around. ''I love you so much.'' I laughed, as he wiped away my tears.

''I love you too.'' He chuckled. ''You look happy.'' He smiled, staring into my eyes, as his own jade ones dazzled with happiness.

''I am. So, so happy.'' I grinned, grabbing his hand and leading him back up to our house. As we walked up, I felt like the happiest a women could be. Finn's proposal meant so much to me, especially with all the time apart we spent from each other. But now, every day, every hour, and every second was one hundred percent worth it. My solider. My fiancé. It felt weird calling him that, but even so, the smile crept upon my face saying the word.

As we walked back into the room, I buried my head in his shoulder, trying to hold back my smile. ''And?'' My father asked, standing up. I held out my left hand, showing them the ring, and was immediately taken into a hug between Finn's mother and my own.

''I'm so happy for you both.'' Annie gushed. ''Ah, I'm so excited Finny!'' She laughed, taking him into a hug.

''Congratulations sis.'' Rye said nudging me.

''Thankyou.'' I smiled.

After a few hours, both our families left, and we got out the alcohol ready for a few of our friends to come around in celebration of Finn returning home, and now our engagement too. Whilst we waited, I sat down beside him and put my feet up, snuggling into his side. ''I've missed this.'' I sighed.

''So have I. Thank you for agreeing to be my wife.'' He smiled, pecking my head.

''Thank you for asking me. I couldn't be happier.'' I sighed, snuggling deeper into him.

''Look Wills. You know I'm only on leave right? And once I go back next week it wo-''

''Shh. Not now.'' I hushed. ''We can talk about it later. All I want to do right now is be with you. Is that too much to ask?''

''No it's not. Come here.'' He said, lifting my chin up and placing a kiss on my lips. As I opened my mouth, giving him permission, his tongue slid into my mouth, carefully caressing mine and deepening the kiss further. I climbed on top of him, running my hands through his hair, as his hands slid under me, cupping my thighs. I leant forward as I grew impatient, pressing my body as close to his as possible, his hands sliding up and down my back, as I cupped his face. My hands moved down his neck to his stomach, and I felt his six-pack through his shirt, as Finn squeezed my thighs.

''Ahem.'' We heard someone say. ''Looks like they forgot we were coming.'' We immediately sprung apart, seeing our friends stood in the hallways. Damien and Michael were stood nudging each other, whilst Addie and Mya stood there staring at us, making 'awww' faces.

''Girls!'' I squealed, giving Finn one quick peck, before jumping up to hug them. ''It's been too long.''

''Wills, we saw each other last week.'' Addie laughed, hugging me.

''Mya, look at your bump!'' I squealed again, as I broke away from them. Mya had been married to Michael for just under a year, and they were expecting their first child this spring. ''Oh can I?'' I asked.

''Of course.'' She laughed, as I placed my hand on her bump, to feel her baby kick.

''Oh the little angel.'' I gushed. ''Isn't it adorable Addie?'' I asked.
