Taehyung's office had the kind of silence he appreciated.

It allowed him to focus, his fingers tapping against the keyboard creating a subtle cadence in the otherwise still room. The golden light of late afternoon streamed through the large windows, casting warm hues on the neatly arranged desks and shelves.

But that silence didn't last.

The sound of the office door bursting open shattered the calm like a thunderclap. Taehyung didn't even look up—he already knew who it was.

Only one person had the audacity to disrupt his sanctuary with such reckless abandon.

"Mr. Kim!" Jungkook's voice rang out, filled with so much excitement it almost made him smile.

Almost.

She hurried across the room, before plopping herself unceremoniously into the chair across from him. It was the chair meant for clients, but she treated it like her personal throne. Her elbow landed on his desk, chin resting on her palm as she leaned in closer.

Her eyes sparkled, her grin wide and infectious. "Guess what!" Jungkook practically sang, her voice brimming with uncontainable excitement.

Taehyung finally looked up from his screen, his stoic expression barely masking the amusement in his eyes.

"You didn't knock," he said, his tone calm but carrying that quiet reprimand only he could pull off.

Jungkook waved a hand dismissively, as if the concept of knocking was beneath her. "Oh, come on. Don't be boring. This is important!"

He raised an eyebrow, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. "You've deemed it important, so naturally, it must be."

"Exactly!" the wife chirped, her grin growing wider at his subtle sarcasm. "But seriously, just listen. It's huge. Monumental. Life-changing."

"Go on," he said dryly, though his eyes remained on her, silently indulging her antics.

Jungkook sat up straighter and excitedly clasped her hands together in front of her. "I've figured it out! The perfect plan to break the curse."

Taehyung blinked, his expression neutral, though his lips twitched as if suppressing a smile. "Oh? And what does this perfect plan entail?"

Her confidence faltered for a split second, her eyes darting to the side as she mumbled, "Well, okay, it's more of a theory. But it's a strong theory!"

"I'm listening," he said, gesturing for her to continue.

Jungkook leaned forward, her palms firmly planted on the desk, her face now mere inches from his (yet still careful not to cross the invisible boundary of the curse).
