Chapter 3: The New Guy Next Door

Alex's POV:
I woke up early the next morning and went downstairs to gets some breakfast. I got some cereal and then I realized nobody was home.

I called for them, but they didn't answer the next thing I see was a note on the window seal above our sink.

It said:
Alex,
We are going to the Amusement Park today. We were going to invite you, but you were sleeping! Be home around 10:00pm.
From: Mom, Dad, and Chase

After I read the note I crumpled it up and threw it in the garbage. I was so pissed!

First of all they could've woken me up and second of all who the frick goes to an Amusement Park at 6:30 in the morning!

I knew they left early so they didn't have to bother inviting me. I was so angry I just had to cool down a little, so I went outside.

I walked down my driveway to see two big trucks in front of my neighbors house. I was curious of what was going on so I went up to one of the workers and asked. He said that a new family was moving in.

I was really confused because my neighbors never had a for sale sign up. Oh well I didn't even like the women who lived there. She was always so grouchy like my dad, but I'm sure she never treated her kids like my dad treats me.

I was starting to walk back towards my house when I heard a familiar voice call my name.

I turned around to see Matthew, the guy I met the day before! I said hi and asked him what he was doing here. He replied saying, "I just moved in next door."

I was really happy because I couldn't stop thinking about him and I didn't think I would ever see him again. I didn't show it though because I didn't want him to think I was weird. "I'm so glad!" I replied in a cool tone voice not showing my excitement.

He then gave me a funny look and I wondered why until I noticed I was still in my pajamas. I was so embarrassed! That's the second time I have made a fool of myself in front of him. Ugh...what is my life!

Matthew's POV:
I gave her a funny look because she was wearing her pajamas and I was hoping she didn't notice, but she did. She started blushing and it was really cute. I never really got a good look at her when I drove her home and now that have she was gorgeous!

She had the prettiest blue eyes and beautiful brunette hair. Her hair was shining and her eyes were sparkling in the reflection of the sun.

Alex then gave me a funny look and then I realized I was staring. I then too started blushing.

She said she had to go get ready, so I said bye to her and then headed towards my house thinking...I HAVE to get to know that girl!
