Chapter 2

The bell began to ring as me and the other girls walked away from each other, going to our first classes.

Since I was taking AP classes, I had to go upstairs to get to my classes. I can admit, I'm really good at Algebra, so I was taking college math.

I have no idea how to get around at this school, so I just need to find someone to show me where my English class is.

I saw someone nearby who looked like they knew something about this school.

They actually looked like someone who flunked a couple of times.

I tapped on his shoulder and looked back down at my schedule, "Uh, excuse me, but can you show me where English-" He turned around to face me. He was tall with a very slim figure.

I stopped mid-sentence when I realized who it was. He was Luke from 5 Seconds of Summer.

I quickly flashed a smile at him, hoping to break the awkward silence.

Surprisingly, he smiled back.

"If you're talking about English 1, then it's the class right behind you." He smirks at me. I shake my head in confusion and turned around to see a door that clearly said, "ENGLISH 1."

I felt my cheeks heat up as I read the sign. I managed to look like an idiot on the first day.

"I must've missed that by mistake," I fake smile at him and turn around quickly to talk to class without even looking back.

Right when I walked in the class I saw Perrie. She held her hand up and started waving, so I could sit in the empty seat next to her.

Before I could even start walking towards her, I felt a slight pull on my backpack as I heard an angry female voice say, "Was there something important you needed to tell my boyfriend?"

I looked back at Petrie which was rolling her eyes t the person still holding onto my backpack. I turned back around to face the girl.

She gave me Avril Lavigne vibes. I heard her friend calling her name, telling her to leave me alone.

"Boyfriend?" I asked as I jerked my backpack from her grip. She scoffed at me and rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, my boyfriend. Luke? The hot ass singer from 5 Seconds of Summer? Can you please try not to flirt so much, it's really embarrassing."

That made me giggle.

"When did asking where a class was ever considered flirting?"

"Stop playing dumb. You might be new, but watch out. You're still clueless." She threatened me while pointing her finger in my face.

I look a glance at the people standing around her and then I looked right back at Bea, which was waiting for a response.

"This is pointless and childish," I said directly at Bea and turned back around without anyone pulling on my backpack this time.

I walked over to the empty seat next to Perrie while Bea just stared at me and whispered with her group of friends.

"Just stop trying to pick a fight with someone all the time, it's really pathetic & you seem childish. You don't even own him." Perrie raised her voice high enough for Bea to hear her while she was walking towards us.

"Whatever." Bea sighed and sat a few seats behind me and Perrie.

A few seconds later, Luke walked in. He smiled at me and he took a seat next to Bella, "Excuse Bea, she gets jealous a lot." He then gives Bea a quick peck on the lips which made me clear my throat. Perrie just groaned, obnoxiously.

Was he watching the whole argument? He could've at least told his girlfriend to chill out.

"I'm guessing things didn't work out between you and Zayn. " Luke laughs to himself while Perrie just rolled her eyes and ignored everything he said.

The teacher suddenly walks in looking like a hot mess. Her hair looked like a birds nest and each piece of clothing was a different color.

"My car wouldn't start & I lost my wallet." She says as she throws her books on the desk which made the class go dead silent.

"Anyways, how was your weekend? If you ask, mine was horrible." She awkwardly laughs off.

"That's just great, just great.." the teachers' voice trails off as she sits down in her chair, which broke into pieces. the class laughed which broke the silence. I didn't laugh though. I actually felt kind of bad for the teacher. I did giggle though. I asked Perrie, "Is it always like this?"

"Basically," she responds covering her mouth as the teacher stands up and picks up one of the wheels from the chair. That figures.

"You got detention again, Lucas." the teacher said brushing herself off while writing a detention slip for Luke. I looked back at Luke & he just shrugged while laughing.

I honestly hate this school.

I walked to my locker and put my textbooks in my bag, so I could study. this school sure doesn't care if you're new to this curriculum at all, they just hand it all to you and expect you to learn it yourself. This school wasn't exactly my cup of tea. I close my locker and as I turn around I run into someone, "I'm so sorry!"

I looked up to see Luke. I just keep running into him today, kind of crazy if you think about it.

"It's fine. Aren't you the new girl? Um, Jade to be exact?"

"I guess that's me."

"Well, I'm having this party tonight & it'll be cool if you could come," Luke smiles gracefully at me while checking behind me as if someone was watching us. I scrunched up my face and responded, "I'll think about it."

I turned around to see what he was looking at and I see the girls waving at me to hurry up and leave. I pick up my bag and before I could start walking Luke turns me around and says, "Invite your friends too." He looks at them, then back to me with those mesmerizing blue eyes of his and his messy hair, he was kind of beautiful. I smiled and said, "Sure."

He lets go of my arm and I continue walking. As I walk up to the girls Jesy asks, "Invite us where?"

"Just to a party." I shrug it off. I didn't want it to seem like I was excited to be going to a party. Especially when I was invited by the Luke Hemmings when Perrie warned me to stay away from him. I mean, what's the worst thing that could happen at a harmless party?

"Just a party? Do you know how many friends they probably have? The party could be one of the biggest parties thrown." Jesy corrects me. I put my hands up in defense, just laughing.

Perrie doesn't really say anything, "I guess I'll check it out."
