When I wake the bed is empty, cold and bare of any traces of Niall. Panic sets in my heart not knowing where he had gone. My mind flashes to twisted skin, and rough kisses along my body as I close my eyes. The fire lit inside of me still raging from his touch and somehow now, our bond was stronger. I could feel the beating of his heart quicken as I sat up in bed. I grip my bare chest and look at the large door. Closed over it separates us. I stand from bed, pulling on the dirty tights and a clean shirt of Lottie's. It fits weird in the shoulders but I doesn't matter I needed to get to Niall now.I walk quickly down the long hallway towards the stairs and can hear him and Louis going at it in the living room.
"You could have killed her," Lou spits. "You almost did."
'I know what I did,' he growls in defence 'she's upstairs, untouched.'
'Really? You think that I'm stupid?' Louis smashes his hand into something, from the loud sound of cracking it was the wall.
'She isn't thirteen Louis she knew what she was doing,' Niall responds quietly, he's trying to keep Louis temperature down. More anger was the last thing any of us needed.
'You mess with her head! You told her about that stupid soul mate legend, that's all bullshit and you know it!'
'Is it? Your nan seems to believe in it!' Niall says 'you get to be jealous but don't take the last shred of happiness from her because you are.'
'I'm not, I'm concerned!' He snaps.
'About what?'
'You hurting her, destroying everything she has. She won't have anything to go back to!'
Niall doesn't say anything now but I can feel the shame rolling off his body like sweat. I take one hard stomp and finish my descent down the stairs until I'm standing in the arch what staring at the both of them.
'Grow up,' I say before wandering to the kitchen, through the same hallway and into the basement. I was angry that they felt like it was ok to be like this, that it was okay to fight between me. Discuss my life without me like I was a child without capabilities of deciding what was good for me.
Declan is still tied tightly to the chair as I stand at the bottom of the stairs staring at him. He's awake now and his head is banging against the long chains now holding his arms above him.
"Sunshine," he whispers and I shiver. I walk over to the sink and fill it with warm water. I rummage through the dryer until I find a clean cloth dipping it in the warm water. I walk back towards him working gently over his bloody face until I find clean skin below.
'This is a change,' he mumbles as I grip his chin and clean a deep cut. 'They won't tell me anything, but I know you...I know you know.'
'What makes you think they tell me anything?' I say raising an eyebrow 'you can read my thoughts remember.'
'You're terrified,' he says quietly 'I can't hear anything.'
'Well now you're just lying,' I say calmly 'because you don't scare me anymore. I've seen the darkness and it's not you.'
'Styles,' he laughs almost 'you're alive though.'
'They didn't want me dead,' I respond.
'What was she like?' He asks suddenly looking at me with steady dark eyes. 'Please?'
'She's beautiful,' I say, something in his eyes begs me not to tell him that she's insane. That she has no normal thoughts. That she was to end the human race, a complete genocide.
