Why Twilight is better than Harry Potter II

1. Twilight only had 4 books, whereas Harry Potter had 7. I think it was a mistake of JK Rowling to make so many because some people don't want to read all of them but still want to know what happens in the end. I only read the first two and then the last chapter of the last book because some of the books were too long. I have seen all the films though. Also, stephenie Meyer could make more happen in each book because she didn't have to spread the story into 7. So each book was packed with really exciting bits, like Bella talking to Jacob about a motorbike. But Harry Potter just didn't make sense most of the time because JK Rowling was just filling space, and nothing much happened, like one book was all about a mans turban

The reason JK Rowling made 7 books is because she had so much to explain about the Harry Potter world that it just took space. She actually wanted everyone to know about every little detail she left in the previous books as foreshadowing. Stephenie Meyer's books just took 4 because she mentioned characters in earlier books and forgot about them in the later books. Everything was predictable. She never left suspense. In HP, every little detail mattered. Like in Chamber of Secrets, the memory Tom Riddle said he understood why Harry survived when he told Tom that Lily had died to save him. It seemed like a little comment but afterwards in the fourth books and beyond, Lily's protection was explained and was one of the most important things about HP. If you didn't read the books after 2nd, then you don't know how exactly Sirius survived. You don't know the whole explanation of Voldemort's death. You don't know that Voldemort was concieved under a love potion. You don't know what Regulus Black did. You don't know how Kreacher turned out. You don't know how Kreacher led the house elves to fight in the battle. You don't know anything if you're basing your HP knowledge on the movies! Btw, the book was not about a man's turban. It was about the first return of Voldemort and how he possessed Quirrel and how Harry saved the stone and prevented Voldemort from coming to life again.

2. Twilight has characters you can believe in. Edward is very loving and follows Bella and watches her sleep without her knowing. This is what a boyfriend should do - it's really romantic. He climbs through her window and keeps her safe by making her feel bad and threatning her when she does something wrong. This is really sweet and Bella is lucky. Harry Potter has nothing to do with Love and it's just about some wizards learning things. Wizards aren't even real. Ron and Hermione argue all the time and it's upsetting. Sometimes Harry has to do a fight or be a detective which is silly because if he was a real wizard he could just magic his way into safety.

I sincerely hope you are joking. Or is this really how our generation girls think of the ideal boyfriend? Someone who stalks you, threatens you and takes apart your possessions just because he's jealous. I think watching someone sleep is just stalker stuff. I'm not lying. I've seen these things in HORROR MOVIES and the Serial Killer watches someone sleep without them knowing. And he plunges in her window and kills her. Although that's not what Edward does, he is a stalker. You know what I would do if my boyfriend threatens me? I wouldn't do as he says and mope. I will look him straight in the eye and say, "You're single. And now you've got 5 minutes before I call the police and tell them you're threatening me." *Sigh* Second, of course HP is not about love. It's a fantasy novel, not a romance one! Btw, Vampires, werewolves and Voultri aren't real either. Sure, Ron and Hermione fight, but when they're Teenagers! I don't see how you think loving bickering upsetting but threatening and stalking perfectly okay. And quoting about him 'magicing' his way out, "The trouble is -- the other side can do magic too." Muggle.

3. In Twilight, all the characters are perfect and really good looking and everybody loves them. But in Harry Potter, all the characters are flawed (Harry has a scar that isn't hot like Jasper Cullen's, and Ron is a ginger.)

*Sigh* Twi-hards. Shallow as ever! Who the heck cares about appearance?!?! Yes, the characters are flawed and that is why it's actually realistic! Nobody is perfect! I doubt you are! Harry's scar isn't hot because it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be a mark left behind by a powerful dark curse. That's why Twilight isn't good for adoloscent minds. It teaches people to be perfect, to be someone you're not. HP teaches people how to get past situations and that everyone is flawed but you have to embrace it. Not change it. And I don't know what you have against gingers, but Rupert's acting was WAY better than Kristen's or anyone else in the whole Twilight. There's a thing called talent. Ever heard of it? Yeah, it exists! Appearances aren't gonna get you anywhere in life, talent is.

4. Bella is a really strong character and very independent. She has a driving license and Hermione never gets one even when she's in her 30's. (this is really pathetic. People always say how clever she is, but she can't even drive.) Hermione is also not a very good role model because she is always annoying everyone by telling them her opinions instead of being quiet like Bella.

I literally screamed out laughing at this one!!!! Bella is strong and independent? Let me define 'character' It means you have a mind of your own, never afraid to stand up and never listen to anyone. Independent means being able to do anything you want no matter what anyone says or tells you to do. By your own line, "Being quiet like Bella," none of those add up to her. She does whatever Edward tells her to do. And Hermione never needs to drive a car. Why drive 15 minutes when you could apparate on their doorstep in 5 seconds? And you know why Hermione is an excellent role model? Because of exactly what you said. She isn't afraid to speak out herself, she gives opinions, she works with her own mind, she never gives up on life, she never gives up hope and SHE NEVER FREAKIN' LETS ANYONE TELL HER WHAT TO DO! Girls shouldn't be like Bella, in my opinion. They should be independent, should be able to move on with life after a breakup or a hard situation, not give up on life and commit suicide. It is exactly like you're thinking like men in the 19th century of women. Being weak, not allowed to say anything and not having a life unless they've got someone in their life. Good luck living in the 19th century.

5. When Edward abandons Bella she waits for him and doesn't give up. Then he comes back and she forgives him right away. When Ron leaves Hermione she gets really upset and then she is annoyed when he comes back. That is not love.

What Bella has is an obsession. She is willing to give everything to him, even her life! That is not love. When Ron leaves Hermione, she's upset. Of course, she's upset! The love of her life left her! And I don't know if your parents or anyone every told you, cause my mom repeats this line almost every day. "The reason someone is upset or angry with you, it's because they actually care about you to don't let you do that again." Not to be rude or anything, but Edward loves Bella (though in a few psycotic ways) but Bella is obsessed with Edward. There's a difference. Edward could literally be cheating on Bella under her nose and she'll still forgive him.

6. The book covers of Twilight were really nice things like an apple and a flower and a ribbon. The covers of Harry Potter don't make any sense because the pictures on the front don't look anything like Daniel Radcliffe.

Uh, that's because the covers came out before the movies? They actually represent something from the books or movies? Why is that girl holding an apple?

7. Edward and Bella live for each other and the stories are about thier love. In Harry Potter the characters have other things going on in their lives and don't even always have boyfriends.

YOU DON'T NEED A BOYFRIEND TO BE HAPPY!! Get it out of your small mind! Yes, other things are going on. Like trying to destroy Voldemort's soul!! You are such a Muggle!
