Nathan: done and dusted
he put away the money and stood
Nathan: one of the easier Numbers to obtain, in fact.. though it had no synergy with his deck
he pulled the card out and looked at it
Nathan: I'll hold onto it for now.. Heartland'll get it once we've acquired all the other Numbers
Kite nods as Nathan puts away the card
Nathan: now if you'll excuse me.. I have to get back home. shopping won't do itself
he steps out before another word can be said. Kite watches, and scoffs, before heading off himself
Fiend stepped out into the schoolyard, April hovering beside him
Fiend: man.. I hate math...
he began equipping his Duel Gazer as he continues to vent
Fiend: its either too easy or too hard! there's like no inbe-
the two flinch as a loud roar is heard. they turn and see a Dragon monster. a duel was going on
April: woah..
Fiend: I gotta check this out!
Fiend runs towards it, April following behind. eventually, they see the end of the duel, where a tan skinned girl, the controller of the dragon, dealt the finishing blow.

the monsters vanish, and the two duelists remove their gear. everyone else is enamored and amazed. Fiend, however, while he was impressed, had no idea what the fuss was about. he turns to April
Fiend: do you have any idea why everyone's acting like she's a celebrity?
Yuma: because she is!
Fiend turns to Yuma, who was also watching the duel
Fiend: really?
Yuma: yeah, man! that's Crystal Lee! she won that tournament last year! the Heartland Grand Championship! she's undefeated as of right now!
Fiend was still a little confused, but before he could say anything, someone clears their throat. they both turn, to see Crystal standing before them
Crystal: hey boys.. couldn't help but overhear you two talkin' bout me. care to spill?
