what's this? a chapter that ACTUALLY TAKES PLACE DURING AN ACTUAL EPISODE?!?!??! FINALLY! its about damn time I got to one of these. took me awhile to figure that out but hey, I'm here now, so lets get to it!
the camera pans and fades into Heartland Academy. we then see Yuma Tsukumo running across the schoolyard
Yuma: look out world, because here comes Yuma!
Yuma then jumps up and lands with a confident look, while Astral floats beside him
Yuma: that's right! someone powered up his deck!
he then flaunts his deck
Yuma: boom!
he then closely inspects his deck
Yuma: how do you feel today my awesome little darlings? feel like gettin' out there and takin' some fools down!?
Yuma then spies Astral's look from the corner of his eye, and lets out a confused "huh". turning his full attention to his spectral friend, Yuma sees the sad look on his face
Yuma: why do you look so blue?
Astral turns to Yuma
Astral: huh? I suppose it is just my pigmentation.. or... perhaps something to do with light refraction..
Yuma, having no clue what any of that meant (classic Yuma) looks at Astral confused
Yuma: uhh what are ya talkin' about? I mean why do ya look so sad-
Tori: hey, Yuma!
Yuma is cut off by Tori as she, Bronk Stone, Caswell Francis and Scarlett approach him. Yuma waves
Yuma: what's up, guys?
Tori walks up to Yuma and grabs him by the arm
Tori: something is going down, that's what's up
she then starts dragging Yuma away, everyone else following behind
Tori: come on, we need to have a serious chat
Yuma: this doesn't sound good...
cut to Yuma looking at a D-pad, his face one of shock
Yuma: wha? what happened to these people?
on the D-pad screen, it showed several different people who looked like they had their souls sucked out of their bodies
Bronk: nobody knows much
Caswell: they all went missing at some point, and ever since they were found, they seem to have aged or something! and they just stare off into space and-
Bronk: drool! they're like zombies!
Caswell: Yuma, these people only have one thing in common. they're duelists
Scarlett: not only that, but each of them possessed a Number at one point..
Yuma was taken aback by this, and let out a gasp
Yuma: seriously?!
Astral gasps at this
Caswell: in the end, Yuma, since you possess a Number card, it stands to reason that you are in danger
Yuma: nahh!
Caswell: huh?
Yuma tosses the D-pad to Caswell
