chapter twenty-six : amanda

the next morning, you went to school like normal and endured lana and tsumuji talking about what if they stuck karl and another raccoon up someone's ass. you had sent a good morning and how are you text to kaji, and he only replied with "no", so you didn't quite know if he was better or not yet, even when it was already dismissal. you guessed you'll just find out when you get to furin.

"but i feel sorry for karl," tsumuji said, stopping to refill her water bottle at the refilling station. "being stuck up an anus doesn't sound good."

lana laughed. "no duh, but like...i'm sure he'd accept it just once to contribute to the developmental growth of science!"

"i want a pet ferret," you sighed. bored, you turned your gaze to the many groups of female students waiting for their fetchers or getting ready to walk home near the school's exit.

"real." tsumuji then smirked at lana. "get us one for christmas."

in response, she rolled her eyes. "babes, i thought you wanted to go to the city and kidnap sitetampo. changed your mind?"

"just get us both, it's not that hard," you said.

"yeahh. what a lazy ass, lana. tsk tsk tsk. sloth is a sin."

"at least i won't go to hell for getting freaky with chai."

"shut up, at least i don't simp for nonchalant 'i was a sickly child' ahh backstory men."

"meanwhile i will go to hell for thinking 'i hate you' to god during prayer time," you added.

tsumuji tightened the cap on her water bottle and nudged you and lana, talking with her eyes. "yo, look."

you both trailed her gaze and focused on amanda, getting all touchy touchy with a boy with raven-black emo hair almost covering one of his half-lidded eyes. "woah...that's not parker," you said.

"he doesn't look like he goes to parker's school either—look at his uniform," lana remarked, already judging him with her wide blue eyes.

tsumuji waved her hand in front of your faces. "stop looking! that's bad, isn't it? ain't she dating parker?"

you and lana looked away, then pretended to talk about something irrelevant and casual. "dafuq...is girlypop cheating??" you widened your eyes.

lana glanced at amanda and the boy then looked back. "what if they're just friends? or cousins or something?"

you all took more unnoticed glances: at amanda's friends talking with them, the ravenette boy's arm around amanda's waist, his look at her eyes when she was talking—

"hell nah, bro," tsumuji deduced. "they're definitely dating."

"damn...should i tell parker?" your eyes sparkled with a mischievous excitement. it was easy to do so since one of your cousins was friends with him, being classmates.

lana flicked your forehead, rolling her eyes with a smile. "don't cause trouble. we can't assume either!"

"aw."

"anyway, y/n, i can walk with you to furin high cause i gotta attend a family get-together at my uncle's house, and furin's in the way of that," lana said.

"ooh, sure. tsumuji, what about you?" you turned to her.

she sighed. "haven't done the english persuasive essay yet."

"okayy, y/n and i will be going now," lana said. "get home safe!"

"i hope you trip on a pebble and end up in the hospital!" you waved at the frowning ravenette girl as you walked away.
