Chapter 3

Catherine's POV
I slid between Kara and Ed. Ed held out his hand to me and I shook it. I couldn't help but notice all of his tattoos. All of the boys, but Niall, had tattoos but Ed had the most. I spent about five minutes not talking, just listening to everyone else's conversations and being a third wheel. Finally, I had to make conversation.
"So where did you too meet?"
Oh god Catherine, where do you think they met. I was so awkward. Kara was the fist to explain.
"We met at Liam's party and had a great time. Niall asked me out and the rest is history."
Kara looked sweetly at Niall and he returned the gaze. I couldn't help but be jealous, even though I WAS genuinely happy for her and Niall. I could feel someone watching me and I turned around. Ed was staring at me. I smiled a small smile in his way. Ed walked over to Niall and whispered something to him. Niall giggled, looked at me, and then looked away. Were they making fun of me? Wow, I actually thought I could maybe fit in here, but no. I should've known. I had to get out of here before I made an even bigger fool of myself.
"Hey, I forgot I need to talk to Reese about this homework that we have." I said to Kara and Niall before getting up and turning away.
"Wait!" Niall exclaimed, basically jumping out of his seat, "We should all do something after school. You, Kara, Ed, and I! We could all go to Benny's Frozen Delights to get ice cream."
"Yes!" Kara squealed.
Oh my god, so he really wanted to hang out with me? Suprising, but it wasn't bad. Not bad at all.
"Sure. Right after school?"
"Yeah, is that good?"
"That's great!"
"Great! Ed, are you in?"
"Yeah, buddy!" Ed answered.
"Cool." Niall said smirking.
"Alright. See you later."
I said walking to Reese's table. I was glad I didn't actually have to talk to Reese about homework because I probably wouldn't be able to focus because I was freaking nervous about this afternoon.
