Her words hit me like a punch to the stomach. My mind is racing with a thousand thoughts, but I can't let my fear show. I steady myself, looking directly at her.
Gauri: "Hey, hey, calm down... Look at me. I'm right here. You can trust me, and I promise I'll help you at any cost. Just tell me everything from the beginning, okay?"
She hesitates for a moment, but then nods, her voice trembling.
???: "Me.. mera naam Annu hai, a..aur main yaha ki nahi hoon...main Northeast India se hoon. 2 saal pehle, jab main sirf 18 saal ki thi, Main aur meri mummy ek chhoti si kiraye ki jagah mein rehte the. Doctor ne kaha surgery zaroori hai, warna unka bachna mushkil hai. Lekin surgery ke paise kahan se laati? Majboor hokar, main naye job ki talaash mein ghar se nikli. Naukri dhundhte-dhundhte, main ek galat jagah pahunch gayi-wahan, jahan mujhe kabhi nahi jaana chahiye tha. Shayad, main un tak pahunchi nahi thi... balki unhone mujhe dhoondh liya tha."
