This book is my detox after the emotional wreckage that is "Caged". Consider it my sweet, fluffy escape from all that darkness.

As the morning light filtered softly through the curtains, the warmth of Rudra's chest surrounded Vani. She slowly stirred, her body instinctively shifting closer to his, her head nestled against his firm, bare chest. The soft rise and fall of his breathing calmed her, the quiet rhythm lulling her into a peaceful state. Her body relaxed against his, completely unaware of how intimate the position was.
But just as she was about to drift deeper into sleep, a deep, teasing voice broke the silence.
"Well, someone said last night to not dare cross the line, but look who crossed whose line."
Vani's eyes snapped open, and her heart raced as she quickly realized her position. She was practically sprawled across his chest, her head resting near his collarbone, her body pressed too closely against his. Her face instantly flushed crimson with embarrassment. She jerked up in one swift motion, her heart pounding in her chest.
Rudra, still lying back against the pillow with a smug grin on his face, watched her with lazy amusement, his eyes glinting with mischief.
Vani scrambled off the bed, practically tumbling out as she stood up, her cheeks burning. "I... I didn't—" She stammered, her words fumbling as she tried to gather some dignity. "I didn't mean to—"
"Didn't mean to, huh?" Rudra's voice was low, filled with quiet amusement. "Sure, my heart. You just happened to end up like that." He chuckled softly, thoroughly enjoying her embarrassment.
Vani couldn't meet his eyes as she quickly rushed to the bathroom, cursing him silently in her head.
This man is unbelievable. I can't believe I fell asleep like that. I swear, he's impossible.
She shut the door behind her with a sharp click, her face still bright red as she leaned against the cool surface of the bathroom door.
I'm never going to hear the end of this, am I?

Vani waited in the car as she mumbled
just 6 more hours with him.
On the other hand Rudra handed the servants a thick wad of cash.
"That was indeed an amazing performance Rajat," he said quietly to the servant, a faint smirk on his lips.
"Shukriya, Chote sarkaar" The servants bowed, their expressions shy and happy as they received the reward from their chote sarkaar.
Vani, unaware of the exchange, shuddered at the wary glance at the farmhouse.
Rudra sat in the driver seat, his mood cheerful.
"What's so funny?" she asked suspiciously.
"Nothing," he replied, pulling onto the road. "Just thinking about how entertaining last night was."
She narrowed her eyes but said nothing, her frustration with him growing by the second.
Rudra, on the other hand, couldn't stop smiling. Every moment with her—every glare, every insult, every spark of defiance—only fueled his obsession.

The car came to a stop in front of Vani's house, the night stretching around them like a thick, oppressive blanket. Vani opened the door quickly, already eager to escape the suffocating tension of the journey. But before she could grab her bag, Rudra was already at the trunk, pulling her luggage out with ease.
