Chapter 26

The next morning, Taehyung woke up first and smiled when he saw Jungkook sleeping peacefully in his arms. He held him a little tighter, feeling happy that things were better between them. He was missing this moment so badly.

Jungkook slowly opened his eyes and saw Taehyung looking at him. "Good morning, Kookie," Taehyung said softly, brushing his hair back.

Jungkook yawned and mumbled, "Good morning, hyungie."

Taehyung’s heart felt warm hearing that. "You’re so cute when you wake up," he teased.

Jungkook groaned and lightly hit his chest. "Don’t start," he muttered, making Taehyung laugh.

They stayed like that for a moment, enjoying the peaceful morning before getting up.

After a few more moments of warmth and quiet laughter, Taehyung sat up, stretching his arms. "Come on, Kookie, let’s freshen up and go downstairs. Everyone must be awake by now," he said.

Jungkook groaned, burying his face in the pillow. "Five more minutes," he mumbled sleepily.

Taehyung chuckled and gently patted his back. "Nope, we have to go. If we don’t, Sammy will probably come barging in and drag us out."

Jungkook sighed dramatically but got up, rubbing his eyes. They both went to the bathroom, where Taehyung brushed his teeth while watching Jungkook wash his face. Jungkook noticed and frowned. "Why are you staring?"

Taehyung smirked. "Because you look adorable even with bed hair."

Jungkook splashed water at him, making Taehyung laugh. "Are you teasing me now, Go shower, hyungie, or I’ll drown you," Jungkook threatened playfully.

After they freshened up and changed into comfortable clothes, they headed downstairs. The house was already lively, with everyone gathered in the kitchen. Sammy was arguing with Prem about the right way to cook eggs, while Boun and tul were setting the table.

"Finally, the sleepyheads are here," Sammy teased, crossing her arms.

"Good morning, guys," Taehyung greeted, pulling out a chair for Jungkook before sitting down next to him.

Jungkook smiled and said, "Good morning."

Boun smirked. "You both seem… refreshed, did you sort it out" he teased, making everyone chuckle.

Taehyung rolled his eyes. "Boun. Don’t start your nonsense and yes we are good now." With that everyone smiled.

Breakfast was filled with laughter and warmth. Taehyung made sure to put food on Jungkook’s plate, earning a small glare but also a secret smile from him. Jungkook, in turn, made sure Taehyung ate properly, nudging him whenever he got distracted by conversations.

At one point, Prem and Sammy started bickering again, making everyone laugh. Jungkook leaned closer to Taehyung and whispered, "I missed this."

Taehyung looked at him and smiled softly. "Me too, Kookie. And I promise, we’ll never have to miss it again."

Jungkook nodded, feeling lighter than he had in days. The misunderstandings were behind them, and now, they could move forward—together.

Boun clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. "Guys, we are going out today, so get ready and meet here in one hour," he announced firmly.

Before anyone could ask, he quickly added, "And don't ask me about the destination, it's a secret for Taekook." A smirk played on his lips as he looked at the two.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "A secret for us? What are you up to, Boun?"

Taehyung crossed his arms, eyeing him suspiciously. "Yeah, Boun, should we be worried?"
