"Alright Arsh, now I would like to continue my work, it's a very important meeting." I nodded at my father as we reached to our different cars.

"I'm going to Raghav's." I don't know why but I just informed my dad, his face twisted in a awkward way hearing Raghav's name. I just rolled my eyes at his reaction.

I hoped in my car and called him. Well I've decided something, and I need to tell him everything. I feel like I wanna drink. Fuck it.

But before I could start the engine.

"Arsh." I snapped my head at the voice. There stood Mishka, looking at me with so much love.

"Hey? You good?" I opened the door and directly hugger her, the warmth spreading in my veins.

She just nodded.

"I'm going to meet my brother, I've to clear something with him. And about your Dad, I know he gonna approve." My last sentence made her tightened her arms around me. I kissed her head before leaving to meet my brother.

As I drove, the roads blurred past me, headlights cutting through the darkness as I pushed the car beyond its limits. My hands were gripping the wheel so tightly my knuckles turned white. My jaw clenched, my mind spiraling with everything that had happened today.

"Calm down Arsh." I muttered.

Her tear-streaked face haunted me. The way she sat on the floor, broken, lifeless, my mother had done that to her. The one woman I thought could welcome her with open arms had shattered her instead.

I should have expected it. I should have known my mother would never accept Mishka. But I had been foolish enough to hope.

I slammed the brakes in front of Raghav’s mansion. The tires screeched against the pavement, and before the car had fully stopped, I was already out, marching toward the entrance.

The guards barely had time to register my presence before I pushed through the doors.

"Where the hell is Raghav?" I growled at the butler, my patience nonexistent.

Before the man could answer, a familiar voice echoed through the grand hall.

"Well, well, look who’s here."

Raghav stepped out from the dimly lit corridor, a glass of whiskey in his hand, his ever-present smirk in place. "Didn't expect to see you tonight, Arsh. What happened? Finally realized our mother is a witch?"

"Not now, Raghav." My voice was laced with fury. "I need a drink."

He raised an eyebrow but didn't question me. Instead, he gestured toward his study. "Come on then. Let's get you drunk enough to forget whatever's eating you alive."

Little did he know, nothing could make me forget the look on Mishka's face today.

I followed Raghav into his study, the heavy oak door clicking shut behind us. The room smelled of aged whiskey and burnt wood from the fireplace, its dim lighting casting long shadows across the bookshelves.

Raghav sauntered over to the bar, pouring two glasses of scotch.

"Sit." he ordered, sliding one toward me as he took a seat across from me. "Now tell me, what's got you storming in here like a damn hurricane?"
