Butterfly Kisses (a Reigisa fanfiction)

Chapter one: Awkward encounter

Authors note: here is my first chapter of butterfly kisses! I hope to be posting a new chapter consistently every 1-2 weeks. Enjoy :) 

"Come on, last lap!"
Makoto shouted towards Rei and Haru, who were busy practicing laps in the pool.

"Go Rei-chan! Go Haru-chan!" Added Nagisa.
Haruka and Rei swam their last 15m and finished at the wall.

"Nice work today everyone!" Gou said to the boys as Rei was busy pulling himself up onto the concrete side of the pool. Everyone started to head for the changing rooms except for Rei, who stayed put sitting on the side of the pool.

"Arn't you coming?" Makoto asked Rei.

"I think ill stay here a little longer, if that's alright." He replied.

Makoto smiled. "Of course! Means more practice, right?"

Gou interrupted them. "Just don't stay out to late! I don't want to get in trouble..."
Everyone headed into the changing rooms. Rei slipped back into the pool and adjusted his goggles back over his eyes and pushed off the wall, slowly forming into a backstroke position. He swam 100m, and returned back to where he began.

"Um... Rei-chan?" A quiet voice called from the direction of the changing room door.

A bit startled, Rei turned over and saw Nagisa standing in the changing room doorway.

"OH- um- Nagisa-kun! Rei said, blushing. You scared me, I thought you had left already!" Rei told him while he dramatically held one hand over his heart, as if he was scared to death.

Nagisa giggled.
"Sorry for scaring you, Rei-chan," he paused and smirked a bit, reminded of Rei's dramatic act.
"I just wanted to come swim a bit longer too."

"Oh, yeah sure. Hop in." Said Rei quietly. Before Nagisa could say anything, Rei had slipped his goggles on and continued his swimming.
Although it didn't seem like Rei, Nagisa was not surprised by Rei's less-than-friendly invite into the pool. Lately, Rei had been acting weird towards Nagisa. Hardly any eye contact, short conversations, (basically no conversations at that) and had also noticed that Rei had been very quiet and awkward when he was talking to Nagisa. Without questioning Rei, Nagisa jumped into the pool, except he didn't begin swimming. Nagisa waited on the edge of the pool, watching Rei swim around the pool a few times until he eventually stopped at the edge of the pool beside Nagisa.

"Any particular reason you aren't doing any swimming?" Rei asked.
Nagisa kept his arms on the wall and stared ahead of himself.

"Rei, what's wrong? You haven't been acting like yourself for a while now." Nagisa asked, with a sad tone in his voice.

"Hm-wha- wrong with me? Nothing." He quickly stuttered awkwardly, beginning to pull himself out of the pool.

"Where are you going?" Asked Nagisa.

"Oh-um... Im all done."

"Then I'm done too."

Nagisa followed Rei out of the pool and into the changing room. He walked over to the end of the change room to grab his shoulder bag, then placed it down on the furthest end of the bench.

Rei was about 2 feet down the bench, watching Nagisa begin to zip open his bag. He grabbed out his dry clothes and placed them on the bench. Nagisa then turned around, His back facing Rei. Slowly he slid both thumbs down either side of the waistline of his swimsuit, and started pulling down. Soon his swimsuit was passed his butt down to about his thighs. Rei was still watching, his face bright red. He adjusted his glasses.

"Why am i still watching him? And why does it suddenly feel so awkward to be changing with him?" Rei thought to himself.

Nagisa glanced over his shoulder to Rei, curious that he hadn't been hearing Rei move at all. Rei turned bright red, noticing Nagisa look over to him and quickly looking away.

"Damn. Did he notice I haven't been changing my clothes at all?" Rei thought, and began to shuffle out of his sticky swimsuit, continuing to look at Nagisa.
He soon noticed Rei's movements and continued to slide his swimsuit down over his legs. His swimsuit was now completely off his body. He turned to the side, reaching for his bag, and Rei could see everything. He tried to ignore it but, he just couldn't stop staring. Rei felt a weird sensation, a sexual feeling, it felt amazing. He had seen Nagisa naked before, but had never stared at him nor had he felt the feeling he was now.
"Oh no." Rei thought. He didn't even question what had just happened, he just quickly turned to make sure that Nagisa wouldn't notice anything, yet he continued to watch Nagisa. Rei finished getting his dry clothes on, and Nagisa walked by him and turned.

"Ill wait for you at the station okay?" He said to Rei.

Rei nodded. "Right!"
He then waited for Nagisa to leave the room. When he left, Rei sat down, resting his elbows on his lap and his head against his hands and stared at the floor, quiet.

"Damn," he thought.

"Im in love with Nagisa."
