Chapter Five: First Impressions

CHAPTER FIVE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I watched as she scanned her bruised neck, thinking and feeling something I've created for her.

She is very fortunate that she is still alive, I wasn't expecting such a sweet nectar coming from a girl like her.

But then again; she made me feel, something within me. Demons are supposed to be emotionless, no remorse and shame in our actions whatsoever.

It was clear that she was something special, and especially interesting to a monstrosity like me.

I was going to continue my stalking. I will not stop for anyone or anything. I will find out Rae one way or another.

-Rae's POV-

My smile would not leave my face, and I didn't want it to. For a man whom I've only known for barely two days, he sure has me under his undeniable charm.

The memories almost seem, surreal. Never have I ever thought that a night with someone I only seen twice, would seem so perfect.

-Julia's POV-

"Ew!" I squealed as a piece of some soggy food splashed on my face. As I scrubbed the nastiness off my face, the doorbell rings.

"Ugh, it's so early though..." I murmur. I unlock the door, pushing my brown bangs away from my face.

"Hello-" I stop mid-sentence at the sight of a man. He is casually wearing all black, along with some black cowboy boots. It's the middle of summer, who would wear something that attracts the sun?

His face... It was almost too perfect for just somebody normal. His eyes are too blue, his facial structure is chiseled perfectly. Not to mention, his scent... It was far too familiar.

All in all, I have a terrible feeling of this dude. But the real question is: why is he in front of my house?

"Miss?" a silky, deep voice escapes his mouth. "Hm?" I hum, mildly suspicious of him. "I'm Andy, does Rae Ivory, live here?" he asks politely. So he's the guy who took her out. Why do I have such a bad feeling then?

"Uh, she does," I answer slowly. "Can I see her?" He asks again. "I'll go get her, stay there," I reply, not wanting it to be in my house.

"Thanks," he says. Why the hell is he here? Why does he need to see Rae?

"Hehe," I hear her giggle. I open the door, not bothering to knock. "Rae, some dude is at the door for you."

She gasped and covered up the side of her neck. "Why didn't you knock?!" She exclaims. "I'm not in the mood to be nice. And what are you hiding on your neck?" I ask.

"None of your business, and do you know who it is?" She states coldly. This isn't how she usually acts...

"I don't know, why don't you find out?" I roll my eyes. She scoffs and rushes out of the door.

Why was she acting like this... Just yesterday she was the normal Rae. I know she isn't a morning person, but this is way out of line for her.

When that Andy guy took her out last night, she completely ignored me. If she went on a date, she would tell me every detail.

I finally figured out what this guy is, and I know why he is tampering with Rae. I will fight this demon. If it is the last thing I'll do.
