Shadow, oh shadow
Why do you hurt?
Why do you scream and cry at night?
Is it because of the monsters under your bed?
Or the monsters next door?
Do you scream and cry because of the lies?
The laughs?
The loneliness?
The insanity and the suffering?
Oh shadow, oh lovely baby shadows,
Do not fear, do not cry
We are hear for you
No matter what
To keep you tucked in and warm
So you can play outside in the sun
So end your sorrow and give me a hug.
