When everything changed

Chaper 12 Who am I?

"Why did you do that for?"
"Um hello? Saving your life."
Said Emily pulling Richard up onto his feet.
"She didn't kill me."
"Yet."
"What do you suppose we do with her now?"
"Um..rr.. I know we can put her in the new simulator you brought for me last week."
"You really think she's that dumb?"
"Yes, she's a dumb mutt."
"So what was all of that bonding, up stairs."
"Dreamonight, god you can be thick sometimes."
"So it was all an act?"
"God, did you drink Dreaminight?"
"No, why would I?"
"Because your thicker than normal."
"Why did I ever marry you?"
Emily leans in towards Richard and kisses him on the lips. Then Richards body falls lifelessly to the ground.
"Because, honey. I told you so."
Then Emily reaches into one of Richards pockets, and pulls out a needle with some sort of green liquid in it. And she also pulled a little blue note book.
"And thanks for the early birthday present, honey."
Then Emily walks over Richards body and drags me, through the house and into the simulation room. And locks the door, then just as the door clicks shut. I wake up, and run to the door. But it was to late, I was locked in the simulation room. I hear a voice, the voice says.
"Hello, I'm Voice Interface how can I help you."
The voice sounded robotic, almost human but robotic, like Siri.
"Hello?"
"Hello, I'm Voice Interface how can I help you?"
"Um, hello Voice Interface? I'm Lea and could you tell me, how to get out of here?"
"Hello Lea, to help you I need to do a scan of you, is this ok?
"Sure? Does it hurt?"
"No.."
The Voice Interface started to scan me. At first it was a tingle, then the scan felt like a hot iron bar pressing in my skin. My eyes turn yellow, and my vans turn to gold, my teeth sharpen and my nails sharpen. Then the Voice Interface stops the scan and I calm down then the Interface says.
"Information found. Name: Lea, Age: 16, Species: Unknown."
"Unknown? What do you mean unknown?"
"Information, found. Species was Animagus, now unknown."
"Ok Inerface? Can you tell me how to get out of here?"
"Information is classified."
"Interface, open the file!"
"This file needs a code to open. Do you have this code?"
"Um..yes, yes I have that code."
"Tone in voice suggests that you do not have this code."
"Voice Interface, you open this door!"
I stamp my foot and then a console pops out of nowhere.
"Please enter the manual code to proceed."
I have a look at the console, there are so many buttons to push. But then I think to my self what would Richard put as the code. At first I thought the code was going to be insanely hard, but then I walk over to a big red button, with a sticky note stuck to it. The note reads, DO NOT PRESS. Then I think, what if Richard put this here, to make me think not to push the button when it's the only way out? But what if he thought I was going to think that so that I would push the button?
"Ahh, interface can I call in a friend?"
"Why would you need a friend? You have me."
"Ooook."
"Would you like me to project a friend?
"Yea, I guess that's better than nothing."
The voice interface "beams" down a plastic manikin.
"Who would you like me to project?"
"Someone who can help me, would be nice."
I say sarcastically. But then voice interface started to "download" a friend. And when I say download she was yelling download. After 5 minutes of the voice interface yelling at me, the manikin started to take a shape of of a strong male man. Lucky for me the voice interface downloaded him with clothes on, well at least shorts. Then when the body was nearly done I realised who she was downloading. She was downloading Jacob, then before I could stop the voice interface she was done.

Then "Jacob" opened his mouth, and some sort of light went into his mouth.
At first he tried to speak but all that came out where little murmurs. Then I
I accidentally yelled at the air, I had no control of my voice.
"Why, why are you doing this to me?! Voice Interface show yourself!"
Then I ran over to Jacob and punched Jacob in the face. But I was so stupid because I thought he was real, but in fact he was not, it was a manikin. And then, a second time I kicked the manikin in right were it hurt. And to my surprise the manikin reacted to the kick and bent over in pain. A high pitch voice coming from "Jacob" spoke.
"So this is what it is like to feel pain."
"Voice interface?"
I said surprised.
"The one and only."
"How?"
I said nearly speech less.
"With the brilliance of technology, my dear!"
Her voice seemed more manly, and she seemed to be over the pain. Then she I mean he started to "check him self out".
"Ooh I see why you like him. Mmm yes this will do."
"What?!"
"Oh yes, I have been temporarily have been in your mind."
He said with a grin across his face.
"YOU DID WHAT!!"
I the gold ran though my vans quicker than before.
"Ahh, I see I have hit a nerve here."
"YOU THINK!!!"
"Just clam down, there is no need to kill me."
"THIS IS MY MIND, AND NO ONE IS ALLOWED IN HERE BUT ME!!!"
"Please Lea,Please"
I calmed down, and like before the gold ran away from my vans leaving no trace.
"No one ever goes in my mind, you got that."
I said with my teeth gritted.
"Yes, yes I do."
"So can you open the doors?"
"No, I can't."
"What did you say?!"
"No I literary can't, you need the code. And I don't know the code."
"Wait, where is this place anyway?"
"Oh, this is the simulation room."
"So wait you could take me anywhere?"
"Well, yes. But technically it's a simulation."
"Good enough for me. I want to go to.."
Then "Jacob" clicked his fingers and we where in the dark forest.
"How did you know.."
"This was the place you wanted to go. Simple I've been in your head."
I gave him a nasty look and started to look around. It looked exactly like the real thing. I ran to a clearing, and I turned to see "Jacob".
"Anything you with for can come true here Lea."
"Really?"
"Yes, see if you want to loose that body and swap it for your old body I can do that."
And with a click of his fingers my body shrunk down, and then before you could say wow, I was back to my old self.
"This is not permanent Lea, when you leave you leave all of this behind."
"Really? Wow, maybe I don't want to leave."
"Lea."
"Yes, Jacob."
"Never mind."
"Please tell me."
"Nah, you'd freak out."
"No, I won't I promise."
"I found out your species."
"You.. You.. You found what?"
I said speechless.
"Would you like to know who you are?"
"Yes, I would."
I said nearly shaking.
Then just as "Jacob" was about to announce what proper species I was, the manikin looked like it "lost power", and kneeled on the ground.
I walked over to help the manikin, but just as my hand touched its shoulder the voice interface gasped for air and said one word.
"Run!"
I was very confused, I was standing their frozen.
Then sounding even more desperate for air the manikin said
"Run, go now before it's..."
"It's what?!"
Then the manikin changes shape. Into a dark clocked figure. The dark figure answered my question.
"To late."
I started to run as far and as fast as I could away from the dark figure. But it was no use, every time I nearly got away he would click his fingers and my path would be blocked. Then when I was completely trapped with nowhere to run, I clicked my fingers and to my surprise, I had a long sharp sword right in my hands.
"Looks like you loose missy."
"Don't you dare call me missy!!"
"What are you going to do, give me a paper cut."
"Rule 1. Never upset a girl with a sword!"
I run at the dark figure and chopped off his right hand.
"Where's your right hand man, now?!"
I say wittingly. But the dark figure sticks out his tongue. And this was no ordinary tongue it was roughly 2 meters long and had sharp needle points on each end of the forked tongue. And I was pretty sure that the needles were full of deadly poison. I run up and chop off the tongue. But then the tongue grows back. I do this for about 3 more times. Then I guess the creature got bored with me chopping off his tongue, and sticks the tips of his tongue on my wrist I was wielding my sword with. I dropped the sword in pain, my eyes feel heavy and then my whole body goes numb and I fall uncontions. I wake up in a strange place, I was sitting in an old fashioned bed. I looked around the room it looked very medieval. I got up out of the bed only to find that I was chained to the bed/the wall I also noticed that my black t-shirt and jeans have been replaced with an white night dress. I tried to get out of the lock but it was no use, I was trapped. Then a a woman came into the room, she looked about the same age as me. And she said.
"My queen, your awake."
She kneels down to me. I look at her Strangely,and say.
"I'm not your queen!"
"But my lady, you are."
"We'll as your queen, I order you do release me from these chains."
I said in a very mocking posh voice. And surprisingly the woman walked over to me, and did what I asked.
"My lady, would you like me to show you, your wardrobe?"
"Yes I would, but can you tell me how long I have asleep for?"
"Yes, my lady. You have been out for 1 week."
"One week!!"
"Yes, my lady."
"Take me to my wardrobe!"
I demanded.
"Yes, my lady."
She walks me over to the other side of the room. And opens the doors to the wardrobe. And there are beautiful dresses, every were.
"I can't wear these."
"But, my lady. The king asks for you to wear these dresses."
I look at the wardrobe, and see a dark blue dress. This dress is like no other, it's long, with long sleeves and has a matching cloak.
"I will go, my lady"
"Yes, but can you do something for me?"
"Yes anything, my lady"
"Don't call me, your lady."
"Yes,"
"If you wish to leave me, you may."
The lady walks out and I put on the beautiful dress. And found a matching necklace in an old jewellery box. The necklace had a sliver chain and hanging off the necklace was a wooden wolf. So after I put the necklace on I sat looking out the window. It looked like I was in a tall medieval casle, surrounded by the dark forest. Then just as I was going to plan a way out, another young woman came in and said.
"The king will see you now, my lady."
I walked out the door and as I passed the young woman, I whispered in her ear.
"Don't call me, your lady."
I said with teeth gritted. So the young woman showed me to the kings throne room. Were a long table was set for a feast at one end of the table there was a man with a crown who I presume was the king. He spoke in a loud formula voice.
"Is everything to your likening, my queen?"
I could not see his face, but I thought I knew this man. So I sat at the other end of the long table and said.
"Do I know you?"
Then the king walks down the table, and stands in front of me, with his crown tilted. Then without any warning, he pulled me out from my chair and gave me a slimy kiss. Then my first response Id slapped the king across his face, and I had a better look at his face. And I saw the interface. But this time he was different he didn't look like Jacob, he looked pail as a ghost, eyes red as blood, teeth sharp as needles, and to make it even more fun he was ripped and he kept his deadly tung.
"What's the matter don't like my new look? Because I think it's an improvement.
I damped on his foot, and then he let go of me. I started to run towards the doors. Then he pushed his hand out in power and stopped me in my tracks, I was frozen. Then with a twist of his wrist he pulled me backwards, and said.
"It's not that easy to get away from me, Lea. Or shall I say my lady."
Then he quickly bows and then continues pulling me towards him. Then I gather up all of my strength and slowly start walking forward out of his control.
"How? How can this be?? Unless? No she can't be. It's impossible."
He says as I'm almost free from his grasp
"Then you should call me the impossible girl then, shouldn't you."
I say as a witty comeback, and run off opening the doors and out of the castle. But just before I left I quickly picked up a sword and a bow with some arrows. As I ran out of the castle knights were running at me head on, but luckily I had about 10 meters head start. I quickly thought to hide in a tree, so I found a tall tree and quickly climbed up it. And my planed worked! The knights ran right passed me. Years passed as I fought and survived the "simulation" and in those years I have stayed away from the castle, because he has found new monsters to "injure" me. And to make things "better" one time he got a Griffin and using its big claws left a big deep, scratch mark on my right leg. And then one day when I was hunting, after all of the years I was looking for away out, I found it. And it turns out the way out was in a dark lake, and when I stepped into the river I was sent back into the control room. And I found a box on the wall next to the console. I opened the box and looked inside and found, two wires that looked like they were forced to crossed over. So without even thinking I put the cords back I into place, and I shut the box. I turn sound to see "Jacob" (the non-evil one) he said.
"Thank you. That Lucy girl changed my controlls, but now I'm free thanks to you."
And then before I could say a word, he disappeared into thin air. So I walked back over to the console and decided to press the red botton. And then the room shakes.Then the doors opened, and with relief l went back into reality. I walked through the doors and everything that had changed about me physically just, went away, apart from my necklace. I walked through the house to find Richards lab door open. I walked in to strangely see that the lab had not changed one bit since I left. I started to walk around the lab and I found a body on the floor. And to my surprise it was Richard, I checked his pulse it looked like he was knocked out, for about 20 minutes. What was very odd is that it looked like he did not age. How could that be? So I lifted Richard onto a chair. Then 5 minutes later Richard started to wake up. He almost fell off the chair, he looked at me in a confused way then he blurted out.
"Please don't hurt me?"
"What Richard?"
"Please don't hurt me. I so, sorry I took your blood. Please just don't hurt me."
"What? That was years ago."
"No, it wasn't."
He shows me his watch and then points to the calendar.
"It's been about 25 minutes since you first came here."
"25 minutes!! How can that be I was just, I mean, how can that be?"
"Wait. Where have you been?"
"Um, I think I was in the simulation room."
"Oh, that explains a lot. What happened?"
"Well I think Lucy hacked the simulation."
"Lucy hacked the simulation!!!!??"
"Yes."
A tear ran down the side of my cheek.
"I can make the pain go way, but I'll only do it if you want me to."
"So, I'll forget everything?"
"Yes, but the more precious memory's might be harder to "destroy"."
"Do it."
I said when another 3 tear drops flooded my eyes.
"Are you sure?"
"No, yes, just do it!"
I said nearly screaming at him. So Richard put his fingers on my head, it felt like a claw scratching on the inside of my brain. I let out a huge scream, and tears ran out of my eyes as if they were waterfalls. After 4 growling moments, we both sat down on opposite chairs, excused and in pain.
"Lea, are you ok?"
"No."
"What can I do to help?"
"We'll first off, destroy that blood you took from me."
"What are you kidding me? I might not get another chance."
"Just do it!"
I snapped at him.
"Ok, ok."
Richard walked over to the place were he kept my blood, and he boiled my blood until nothing was left.
"Happy?"
Richard said in a disappointed voice.
"Very."
I walked out of the lab and out of the house. Just before I left I turned to see Richard standing at the door, I yell at him and say.
"Thanks for, nothing. I guess, oh and tell Emily I said goodbye."
I hop into the car and drive off then just as I'm about to drive off I see Richard looking for something in his pocket. I choose to ignore Richard and drive back home.
