Me and Autumn arrive at Lucius. The place is to beautiful for words. Autumn spots Orin on a privet table next to a window. I start to turn away and go through the doors, but Autumn stops me and pushes me back into the room.
"Go"
Autumn whispers, then walks out.I walk over to Orin. He looks so well dressed. With his black hair combed back, and a suit almost to perfect to describe. He sees me and motions for me to have a seat. I sit down and I put my jacket on the back of my chair.we hardly speak to each other for 2 awkward minutes. Until Orin speaks up and says.
"You look lovely to night Lea."
"Thanks you too."
I quickly reply.
"So, what did you want to talk about?"
I say hardly able to get the words out. Orin takes a deep breath and says.
"Your different from any other girl I have ever met. Weird and Protective and even a bit crazy."
"Where are you going with this?"
I said with a protective and offended tone.
"Why didn't you run?"
He sounded nearly sad but also confused.
"What do you mean?"
I said. But I knew exactly why he was talking about.
"You know, what I mean."
He voice sounded a lot more serious. Just then the waiter walked over to the both of us and asked if he could take our orders. I stood up and walked out of the restraint that moment. I felt like that the dinner was just an interrogation. So I walked out into the cold night. But stupid me left my coat on my chair and I was just about to go and get it. But then I realised that if I went back in there I was going to look plane old silly. So I walked down the cold street until. I hear Orin calling my name, he was running towards me. And before you knew it he was standing right next to me.
"Leave me alone!"
I snapped at him.
"You forgot your jacket."
He put in on me. And it was so warm it felt like a blanket.
"Thank you. But can you go?"
I say strictly. Then I walked off.
"I'm not going to leave you out in the cold."
He said following me.
"Yes, you can."
"But I won't."
"Why not!"
"There are so many things I don't understand about you."
I stop in my tracks and say.
"Well, I don't understand how you can't give up."
I said nearly yelling at him.
"Lea."
He says in a soft voice.
"I need to know. Why didn't you run?"
"I... I..."
I start to walk off again but I didn't know where I was going and I ended up down an dark ally. Orin runs down after me and touches my shoulder. I didn't know who touched my shoulder so I ran down the ally into a dead end. Orin still runs after me. I start to feel my vans changing as well as my teeth and eyes. The full moon comes out from behind a cloud, and shines on me. Then I see Orin standing in front of me. I cover my face to hide it from Orin, but it was to late he already saw me.
"Lea."
She says shocked and surprised voice.
"Go away Orin! Leave me alone! I'm a monster!"
"Your not a monster Lea."
"Yes I am! Now go!"
I started to cry. He walked over to me and gave me a hug.
"I know now,why you didn't tell me."
I push him away.
"Don't push me away Lea."
"I have to!"
"No you don't!"
"Yes I do! You don't understand Jake will..."
I say through my tears.
"So he knows then?"
I was silent. My wolf features disappear.
"You look different."
He says as he lifts my head up into the moon light. I push away and start walking out of the dark ally. When Orin grabs my arm.
"I... I..."
He wasn't able to get the words out. I pulled my arm away and run off home. Now he knew, what I am, who I am. This was not they way I wanted to tell him. My parents didn't come home that night. I just thought that they both were working late. But that was not the case. In the morning I awoke to a knock on the door. It was Autumn, she said that it was probity the best to hear it from her. I was so upset I ran off and hid in the dark forest. I was just sitting on the edge of a cliff, watching the sunset in tears. When Jacob found me.
"I'm sorry about your parents."
He said. You could see that Jacob was pretty bashed up. He had a bruise around his eye, blood dripping from a large open cut on his left arm.
"I know you were there Jake."
I said looking him strait in the eye with anger. Then I turned my back to him.
"Listen, Lea. It was an accident."
"It always is!"
I snapped at him.
"If you where just looking where you where going! My parents would..."
I couldn't finish my sentence.
"Lea, I didn't mean to."
"No one ever does! But they do. And because of you an your stupid pack! My parents will never come home."
"It's not my fault that they weren't looking where they where driving."
"No! It's your fault there DEAD!!"
I jump up from were I was sitting and said
"And don't even bother coming to the funeral! Your not invited! And we are THROUGH!!!!"
run off crying. That night I stayed at Autumn's place. Her mum was very nice to me and let me sleep in the guest bedroom. It was all very quiet. I mostly sat in the guest bedroom just looking at the roof and crying.
Orin came over one day. But I was to sad and had no nerve to open the door. I didn't even go to school for 4 weeks. My parents funeral was so sad. Hardly anyone showed up.Orin and Autumn where there. But I didn't talk that much. I don't really want go get into how my parents died. It brings me to tears but I also get a little angry knowing who was there.
After 4 weeks of not leaving Autumns house. Her mum finally decided that I should go back to school. I went back to school and things where still pretty quite. Jacob nor Orin came and talked to me for a week. Just saying it would be for the best. Then at one lunch Orin came up to me and Autumn. Who where sitting under the tree eating lunch.
"Lea, can I talk to you. In privet."
Autumn stood up to go. I grabbed her sleeve, signalling I wanted her to stay. She looked at Orin then at me, and then walked away.
"What do you want Orin?"
I say in a paranoid tone.
"I want you to stop sopping over your parents death."
"What?!"
"You heard, stop sopping over them."
"What do you expect?! My parents just DIED."
"No Lea. That was over 5 weeks ago."
"You have NO idea what I'm going through!"
"Maybe not. but I don't think they would like if there only daughter, sopping over them. And not living her life."
I took a deep breath. Orin was right, I shouldn't be sobbing over my parents. I should be living my own life.
"I'll teach you."
"What?"
"I'll teach you. Meet me after school at the gate."So after school I met Orin at the gate.
"What are you going to teach me?"
"Control."
"Control?"
"Yes. First part a race."
"A race?"
"To the Black Forest. First one there wins."
"How is this supported to 'help'?"
Orin counts down from 3.
"3-2-1, GO!"
Orin was off way ahead of me. I started to catch up but only just. Then about half way into the run I felt my vain growing darker. Instead of glowing gold it was more of a dark colour. But still I was changing and Orin knew it. He stopped and I ran in front of him. Then I stopped only to look at my hands. The vans were only growing darker but my nails started to resemble claws. Orin walk up to where I was. He looked at my hands and said.
"Good. Your learning."
"What?!"
I spitted out.
"Just clam down. take deep breaths, and think of something calming."
I did just what Orin told me. And it worked! It went away, I was back to normal.
"How?"
"Quickly or I'll bet you!"
Yelled Orin running off in front of me.
