This is a dark "romance" (with a big splash of adventure). Emphasis on the "dark", and by romance I mean riddled with red flags, and sprinkled with cute, funny moments here and there.
I obviously don't condone any of the bad or toxic shit that happens in this story. Dark romance authors seem to have to add that before their stories more than other genres. Just because we read and write dark things doesn't mean we want or encourage those things. Horror authors don't like irl murder just because they often write about murderers. Use the same logic for dark romance. We can separate reality from fiction just as well as people who dabble in other genres, thank you very much.
TRIGGER WARNINGS: Mature graphic content (some gore, detailed sex... but not gore and sex at the same time. It's not that dark), heavy dubcon, noncon (grape with a silent 'g'), forced pregnancy, some gaslighting (wouldn't wanna put a silent 'g' on that one), idk what else to warn you about, uhhh...
I guess just read it and tell me if you come across something you wish I would've warned you about. 🤷♀️
