The Curse of the Harddisk

Welcome back boys and girls to another scary tale told by your host with the most Deirdre Stephenson. I do hope so far everyone has enjoyed all the tales I told so far seventeen cursed stories that never h a happy ending and we have only three more to go before we close this first volume. So gather around there is plenty of candy apples and s'mores to pass around. Everyone ready? Good we can begin and this tale is entitled the curse of the harddisk. There is a computer store in a small town called Barre, Ma and it is such a small town everyone knows everyone's business because these people got nothing better to do than to stick one's nose where it doesn't belong. There is a man who owns the computer store by the name of Paul Farmer very nice middle aged man who gets along with everyone why not he is a peasant man to anyone who can be pleasant as well. The store sold name brand computers and ones that one has to build themselves either way anything to do with computers the store has. One day a young man came in the store and wanted to buy his first build computer and he knew what he needed so he went to the section of the store where the building of computer parts will be. After getting the computer parts that Steve Nixon needed to build his first computer that he heads straight home. Once Steve got home he went straight to his bedroom and to start putting together his computer. It took him a couple of hours to put together the computer and once he was done he turned it on to see if it works and of course it does just because Steve is only twenty years old and very good with computers since he helped his father with his. His mother came by to see how Steve was coming along with his computer as he tells his mother it's finished and it works. Since that day there hasn't been a day that Steve wasn't on his computer especially playing his video games. One day Steve was invited to a birthday party at one of his friends house since Tom Stained is turning twenty one years old first to be legal to drink. That day went without a hitch there was plenty of food along with birthday cake and gifts plus there were tons of photos taken that day. It was five days later that Tom called up Steve not sounding himself but telling Steve something he couldn't explain about only the photos with Steve in it he couldn't explain but had Steve come over to look at the photos. Once Steve got to Tom's house Steve noticed him looking very pale as well as frightening about what he saw. As Steve was looking at the photos one with him and without him only he appeared he was darkening out yet looking like he was hanging upside down even Steve didn't know what to say. After that day Steve began waking up screaming in pain because his whole back will be hurting him to the point that the pain kept him in bed. The pain in his back was so great that at some point Steve was throwing up from the pain being that great. Steve's parents couldn't take seeing their son in this much pain that they took him to the hospital. When they arrive at the hospital as the E.R.  only has a few people waiting to be seen so it wasn't long wait until Steve was seen by a doctor. All the tests the doctor took never showed what was wrong with Steve but leaves the doctor baffled yet sends him back home with pain medicine hoping whatever is stressing Steve's back can be solved with pain meds. Once at home Steve remains in bed as his mom makes her son as comfortable as possible along with giving him his medicine when he needs it. It was a week later Steve still wakes up in pain from his back as his mother gives him his medicine slowly as it begins to work he would at some point fall back to sleep. Steve's friends would come by to see how Steve was doing as his parents would tell them what was going on with him as he needs his rest so they would just go back home hoping Steve will recover whatever is making him sick as he is. One morning Steve's mother went to check on her son because she didn't hear him all night and when she entered his room she let out a bloody scream. As his father and brothers came in the room to see why she was screaming and what they saw was Steve dead in bed blood everywhere and him looking like someone bent him into a pretzel but how can this be nothing strong to bend anyone this disfigured. A week later after the funeral the parents locked Steve's room yet gave the build computer to one of his brothers as no one knew the harddisk is cursed and that was the reason why Steve died before he turned twenty one years old.  That concludes this story while I  do hope you have enjoyed this one like I enjoyed telling it.
