RACHEL-

The morning came too quickly. I looked over to my mom’s bed. She was out cold with a bottle of vodka in her arms. I sighed and got up. I removed the bottle from her arms and pulled up her covers then I went onto twitter.

@RachMarie Alcohol, drink too much and you become a demon. Justin, come save me! Or I’ll find you. I wanna drive my car….

@justinbieber @RachMarie I’ll text you, come find me :)

I smiled when my phone buzzed.

To: Rachel ;)

I’m at Venice beach, behind the dark rocks :)

                                ~Justin

I smiled and went to get dressed.

I snuck out of the room making sure not to wake up my mom. Although I probably could have slammed the door and she wouldn’t have woken up. I drove down to the beach and searched for Justin. I found the rocks he was talking about and walked to them. I found Justin sitting in a little basin in the rocks. I sat down next to him. “Hey.” I said.

“Hey.” He replied staring out at the ocean. We just looked out at the never ending blue, then Justin spoke, “What was up with Kim?” he asked looking at me.

“Her boyfriend dumped her.” I said.

“Oh, tell her I’m sorry.”

“She deserved it.” I said.

“Why?”

“Kim’s not just my manager, she’s my mom.” I said. I sounded dramatic, ha, I shouldn’t

“Really? So why did she deserve it?” Justin asked, suddenly looking interested.

“She was dating someone twenty years younger than her. She always does this, then she falls asleep crying and drunk. I feel like I’m the adult. I am so looking forward to the Bahamas.”

“Yeah me too.” Justin said grabbing my hand. “You want to go a day early?” he asked with a smile.

“Would I ever.”

“Let’s do it then. Let’s go today.” I looked at him.

“Our tickets are booked for tomorrow. I can wait a day.” Justin smiled. He is so cute. He looked into my eyes and I got lost. We sat there staring at each other. Then he leaned in and kissed me. I couldn’t help but kiss back and everything about it felt right. “There’s no cameras around.” I mumbled into his lips.

“I know.” He said wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him. I happily wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back.

***

“No.” I said as we walked back to my car hand in hand.

“Why not?” Justin asked.

“Burgers are gross; I’d gain like five pounds eating one.” I said. We were continuing an ongoing conversation.

“Yeah, if you eat them twice a day for a week.” Justin laughed.

“Stop. They’re gross!” I said smiling.

“I think if you actually tried one you’d like it.” Justin said.

“Well, we’ll never find out will we?” I stated. Then my phone went off.

From: Mom

Where are you?! Get back to the hotel NOW!

I sighed. “I have to go.” I said.

“Okay.” Justin said, finishing the walk with me back to my car. “I’ll see you tomorrow. Got us first class seats together.” He said kissing me.

“Yup, see you bright and early.” I said kissing him back. I jumped in my car and headed back to the hotel.

***

“Yes. I was with Justin.” I said.

“You could have told me!” my mom snapped

“You passed out piss drunk! How was I supposed to tell you?” I snapped back. My mom rubbed her temples. “Hangover?” I asked, heading to the kitchen. I got a glass of water and a Tylenol pill. “Here.” I said handing them to her.

“Thanks.” She said knocking back the pill and water.

“Mom, what’s wrong with us?” I asked sitting on my bed.

“We’re just going through a hard time since the divorce and Jake’s death.” My mom said sitting next to me.

“All that happened three years ago.” I sighed. “We need a break, from each other.” I said. My mom nodded. “Listen, even though I don’t agree with your actions, you’re my mom and I love you, no matter what.” I said. She kissed my forehead. “I think I need to leave. I’m going to stay with Justin. Please mom. Don’t hurt yourself.” I said looking at her wearily. “Say ‘Hi’ to Grandma when you see her tomorrow.” I told her as a quickly packed the rest of my stuff.

“Hun, I know I haven’t been a good mother lately.” Understatement of the century. “I’ve just been going through some things.”

“Don’t even try that excuse mom. I’m going through things too.” I said, zipping up my bag. “I have to say, my life is so much more stressful then yours, so hold it together and I’ll see you in three weeks. I love you.” I said grabbing my phone from the bed.

“I love you too.” I left the room. Terrible mother, she didn’t even care that I was staying with a boy. I called Justin.

“Hey, can I stay with you?” I asked.

“Course, my bed has room for you babe.” I rolled my eyes.

“You better be dressed when I come in.” I said walking out to my car.

“No promises, but you’ll like whatever you see.” He said.

“You’re so much more fun when you’re cocky. Where are you staying?” I asked.

“Just across the street from you.” He said.

“Okay, what room?”

“Tenth floor room 316.”

“Okay, see you in a few. With clothes.”

“No promises.” Justin said.

“Bye.” I laughed.

I knocked on the door and Justin answered. “Thank you lord.” I said when I saw him dressed.

“Like what you see?” He asked.

“You look so sexy.” I said. Justin smiled. “Can I come in?” Justin gestured into the room. I walked in and plunked down on the couch dropping my suitcase next to me. Justin sat down next to me.

“So why’d you leave your mom?” he asked.

“She’s just crazy.” I said sighing and turning to put my feet in his lap. Justin looked at my feet. I wiggled my toes.

“You’re lucky your feet are cute.” Justin said.

“My feet are cute?” I asked.

“Extremely. Your feet and you neck.”

“So not my eyes, or my nose, or my lips?” I asked moving closer to him.

“Those are cute too.” Justin said smiling. He leaned in to kiss me and a moved away. “What?” he asked looking at me.

“Grovel, that’s the only way I’ll kiss you.” I said with a smirk.

“You are so beautiful, your eyes are a deep sea blue, and your lips are so soft.” Justin said moving closer to me. I smiled. He leaned in and I met his lips. “Your perfect.” He mumbled.
