Somehow when he had to catch
The ball always reached my place
I tried to help him win the match
But I threw it at his faceThe nurse seemed unaware
Of the guilt that crept
But it was I who was beware
Of my every other stepHow he knew?
I'll never know
But oh dear,heknew
And he came to me slowMy heart was driving off the walls
And then I heard him
As my name he called
And said it was himI asked, " I'm sorry?
How was it you again?"
'I was lost and I'm sorry'
He said with little painBut why were you sorry,my dear?
I didn't ask him then
Why? I'll make it clear
I was lost too,my friend.
