Chapter 12

PLEASE READ!! IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER!!

Okay so some of what's in this chapter I will be making up, considering the fact that I STILL have yet to finish Kuroshitsuji II nor have I read the manga, so I honestly don't know if it's true or not. So please don't attack me with comments like, 'That's not how it works!' and 'Do your homework because this is not accurate!' and blah blah blah.

Previously,

"I'm sorry I was unable to protect you." I say softly, holding her hand.

"I gave your parents my promise, and I broke it. I'm so sorry."

I wipe my eyes and go to stand up when I feel something twitch. It definitely wasn't me.

My E/C eyes widen as I look back down at Lady Madison.

Her hand squeezes mine and her green eyes flutter open.

"Hey Y/N."

"L-Lady Madison?" I ask softly.

She slowly sits up and smiles.

"I know, weird, huh? I thought I died." she says, giggling.

I blink and pinch myself, just to make sure I'm not dreaming.

"I-I don't understand."

"Her soul was not collected." I hear Sebastian say.

I turn to face him, squinting my E/C eyes.

"What?"

"If a person's soul is not collected within a certain amount of time, that person will return to life." Undertaker says, still smiling.

As if on cue, the door opens and in walks two people.

One is a man with dark hair and glasses dressed in black. He's carrying a book and holding gardening shears.

The other is a woman with long, shiny red hair and glasses. She's holding two tiny pairs of scissors and wearing a red jacket that doesn't seem to fit.

The peculiar thing is their yes. They seem to be green with a ring of yellow around the green

"Oh, come on, William. I never meant to forget! Just give me back my scythe!" she says.

"I'm sorry, Grell, but you know the rules."

Grell huffs and crosses her arms before she squeals and runs toward Sebastian, her arms open wide.

"Oh, hello, Sebas-chan!"

I see a look of disgust and annoyance cross his face as he steps out of the way, causing Grell to run into the wall.

"Stop messing around you fool. I can't stand being in the same room as one of them." William says, scowling at Sebastian.

What, does he have a thing against butlers?

"Lets just get this over with." William walks toward my mistress and I and I step in front of her.

"What do you think you're doing?" I ask, glaring up at him.

"Doing what that imbecile failed to do. Collecting her soul."

My eyes widen as Lady Madison hugs me from behind, pressing her face into my back.

"I will not let you take my mistress." I growl, gritting my teeth.

"I'm sorry, but that is not up to a mere mortal such as yourself."

What does he mean 'mere mortal'?

Sebastian steps in front of me and smiles.

"I'm sorry, but it seems my master has ordered me to be rid of you. Not that I have a problem with that."

William scowls at him and swings the shears, aiming for his chest, but Sebastian gracefully dodges the attack and I almost get my head sliced off.

I quickly grab Lady Madison and we run outside where Ciel is already waiting in the carriage. 

We climb in and take off.

"What about Sebastian?" Madison asks.

"He'll be just fine." Ciel says, staring out the window.

William's words bother me though. What did he mean when he called me a mortal? Does that mean he's not human?

And what did he mean when he said he can't stand Sebastian's kind?

Thoughts swarm my head until Madison taps my shoulder.

She smiles at me and the thought hits me.

She's alive.

My E/C eyes fill with tears as I pull her into a tight hug. I sob into her shoulder and hold onto her tighter because if I let go, she could be be taken away from me forever.

Yay! A new chater! And it didn't take me forever!

Okay as for questions.

I decided to bring Madison back because I just couldn't keep her dead like I originally planned.

At first, I was going to make it all a dream, but then I was like 'nah, I'm not gonna troll you guys'.

Anyway, yay! Grell and William finally made an appearance!

And no, Reader-chan obviously does not know about the others being demons and shinigami, but she's pretty darn close to figuring it out.
