" Shehnaaz beta kab tak ise udas baitoge " Shehnaaz mother Anitha asked her daughter who was sitting alone and lost in her thought after she came back home .
Anitha never imagined her daughter's life would take this unexpected turn . She pray everyday that her son-in-law realise his wrong doings and mend his way soon and wish for the reunion .
" Vo bure nahi hein maa , lakin mujhe ab dar lagta hein unke saath rehne me " Shehnaaz said crying in her mother's stomach holding her from waist as she caressed her hair with teary eyes .
( He is not bad person mom , but now I fear to stay with )
The neighbours were questioning on her stay , as it's been more then a week she came . Her parents were covering up with some excuses but she knew soon everyone will start to gossip about her . As they started to ask when her husband is coming to take her back .
After sometime they started to prepare the dinner as her sister's came home from their school while shouting " Didi , Didi ... Jija ji aye hein " .
Sidharth was sitting in the living room , Anitha was serving him water and asked her younger daughter to inform her father about Sidharth's arrival .
Its first time Sidharth had visited the home after his marriage . He was looking around for a clue about his wife . He sensed his mother-in-law was more nervous then him , she was busy taking care for him but he needed his wife .
Sidharth was impatiently waiting for a glimpse of his wife . Without wasting much time he asked about " Vo Shehnaaz kaha hein ? " .
" Vo ander hein beta , Shehnaaz ke papa ane wale hein " Sidharth heard the first part and nodded at her . He directly moved towards the room were she was . Why she has not come to greet him ? She didn't want to meet him ? Or even look at him ? With all the questions running in his head he entered the room .
Their she was , looking at her back he could easily sense that she was silently sobbing her shoulder a were shaking . " Shehnaaz " he called her , as she turned his anger , the pent up frustration everything was gone with her single glance . And he remembered the day they got married .
Flashback
Sidharth looked at his brother who pushed an envelope to his side telling " We have choosen a girl for you " .
Sidharth looked at the envelope and remembered how his mother was so excited for his marriage and wished many beautiful things for him but life didn't give her chance to celebrate the happiness . He carried on with his breakfast when he heard his brother informing him " Ladke ke papa ane wale hein kal , please meri nak mat kavana " .
Sidharth simply nodded at him and left to work . The envelope was left on the dinning table .
" Sidharth tujhe ab settle hojana chahiye , dekh tere bhaiya vaise he naraz hein teri behaviour se aur sharminda mat kar unko . Jaise vo chahte hein vaisa kar , vo kabhi tera bura nahi karenge " His friend advised him .
" Vikas tu samaj nahi raha hein yaar jab mein khush nahi hu apne ap se phir usko kaise kush rakhunga " Sidharth said in frustration and throwed the bottle .
" Yeh tera chance hein Sidharth beeti hue baato ko bhul ja aur nayi shurvat kar " Vikas said patting his back in encouragement but sidharth insecurities were too big to resolve in a single day .
The next day Sidharth took leave from his job and simply sitting on the couch wearing his formal dress . The elders were discussing , the bride father asked few questions related to his job .
After a week both familes accepted the proposal and decided to fix the date .
" Baat paki hogaye hein isleye aj kuch nahi bolunga " Vikas said raising the liquor bottle in air saying " It's celebration time " . Keeping Sidharth sober was big task for him when his future father-in-law visited them to complete few formalities before the marriage .
Sidharth was habitual for drinking at night after office hours but sometimes when he is tensed he starts to drink in the morning too . Sidharth was nervous when the wedding preparation started and his habit of drinking only worsen the situation as he craved for the liquor to defuse the stress . Rakesh glared at Vikas and looked disappointedly at Sidharth . Vikas managed it saying that Sidharth is stressed from work so he have fever and headache , shehnaaz father got convinced .
" Vaise bhabhi kaise dekte hein " his other friend asked in teasing tone . Sidharth simply ignored it , he was not interested in the marriage nor her . He agreed to the marriage only for his brothers happiness . Can you believe he hasn't seen her picture till now and he doesn't even know her name . The envelope is resting on the side table beside his bed .
As elders decided not to waste more time and fixed the date after a month . Shehnaaz family were eager to marry their daughter before she turns 25 and Rakesh was in rush because he fears Sidharth will back off if he given more time .
The shopping and preparation were completed as Rakesh took full responsibility of the marriage . In this whole month Sidharth didn't contact with shehnaaz nor meet her , he refused when vikas adviced him " Lakin Sid ek bar baat karle , usko baat karne hogi tho " .
Maya brought the jewellery and dresses for bride . She liked shehnaaz , she feels guilty for dragging an innocent girl in the messed up life of her brother-in-law but she wanted her brother-in-law to change he needed someone to share his grief and let out his pain . He needs to move on , she loved him like a elder sister .
He was a total different man from what he is today , he cares for his loved ones & stands with them in their lows . He was their naughtiest kid but his one mistake changed his life .
Maya asked the servants to clean and decorate the other apartment for the new couple stay . The change is needed , the new responsibility & environment will ease his pain and help him to lead his new journey .
On the day of their marriage , Sidharth was performing the pooja sitting in the mandap and was deeply thinking about the talk with his brother and sister-in-law . Their words were continuously ringing in his head ,
The girl entering into his life is his responsibility .
He better be a good husband to her .
Our mother will be happy to see you leading a happy life .
Don't disappoint her .
He came out of his thoughts when his sister in-law shook him and guestered Sidharth to stand for the pheras . He looked at the figure sitting beside him with small veil on the head , she was looking down so he couldn't see her face . They together performed the pooja and maya tied their gathbandan . As they stood up , he saw how his sister in-law was helping the girl to manage the lehnga and veil .
Moving around the agni ( fire ) for 7 times with promises to stay together in thick and thin , taking care of eachother with love and respect , growing together and making their own family . As they sat back , he saw her finally while filling her mang with vermilion .
She looked like a goddess , the red lehnga her nude makeup and her eyes held the glint of happiness & dream of bright future with him .

" You promised me that you will never leave me " Sidharth said engulfing her into his arms and a lump formed in his throat while Shehnaaz stood their in shock .
