The rituals were done , after welcoming the couple . The family had their dinner other than Shehnaaz who was waiting for her husband .
" Hamare ghar ke bahu apne pati ke khane ke bad he khate hai " the elders said , the very old ritual in the family which are followed as tradition .
The daughter-in-law of our house eats only after her husband eats .
Sidharth was out settling other things meanwhile the family and the new bride Shehnaaz were making beds to sleep as everyone were hell tired . Keeping the luggage bags as a wall between the couple and rest of the family .
Shehnaaz was in bathroom to change her wedding dress as per her mother-in-law instructions . She was missing her parents , feeling tired and wanted to sleep but due to her anxiety and nervousness , she is not feeling hungry .
Sidharth came back and was drinking water informing his father about the payments which are cleared and which are pending . They had disturbed the left over food to neighbour .
" Kapde utar de aur Khana kha le " Sidharth father said and laid down on his place . He nodded and turned around to see his bride who came out of the bathroom which is used as changing room because their was no water supply in it . She was wearing a plain saree looking fresh with her tierd self . He kept looking at her untill his mother asked him to freshen up .
Change your clothes and eat .
He walked pass by her making her nervous . After freshing up , he sat on the chair infront of the Telivision as routine but his mother asked him to eat his dinner in the kitchen , he looked at his mother in confusion as she said they all are tired wanted to sleep so move into the kitchen and let them sleep without any disturbance .
He looked at his mother and at her back where the arrangement done for the sleeping , Neetu her children's Ridhi and Sham who were 2 year old and 3 year old and his father were already laying on their sides .
" Sab ne khaa liya " he asked getting up from the chair , understanding their need to sleep .
Did everyone ate ?
" Haa sab ne khaa liya hai , tu aur teri biwi he bache hai . Jaa usey bhi bhuk lagi hogi kab se intzar kar rahe hai tera " she said turning off the Telivision .
Yes everyone ate , you and your wife left . Go she must be hungry , she is waiting for you .
Nodding his head he moved inside the kitchen where his wife was . With a new feeling bubbling in his heart he entered the kitchen were his wife waiting for him , it is one the special moment for him to see other then his mother and sister , new addition his wife Shehnaaz was serving his plate he leaned to the near wall and kept looking at her back . Sensing someone's stares shehnaaz looked around and found him staring at her it made her gulp in nervousness .
She silently passed him his plate after serving the food but instead of taking the plate he moved towards her raising her heartbeat . But he stopped two step away when his sister Reetu came to take water and said " Bhaiya sare light band kar ke sona varna subha maa mujh pe chikege " .
Brother off all the lights otherwise mom will scold me .
" Tik hai jaa tu " Sidharth said .
Okay , you go .
" Tumne khaya " he asked once Reetu left , initiating the conversation while she nodded in no . He signalled her to eat with him she tried to deny saying " Ji bhuk nahi hai " .
Did you ate ?
No , I'm not hungry .
He settled on the floor taking the plate as she sat infront of him to serve him if he needed . He made a morsel and moved his hand infront of her mouth making her look at him with her pleading , shy yet nervous eyes but he didn't backed off untill he feed her properly and declaring " aj se hum roj saat me kahenge " .
From today we will eat together .
Sidharth knows she is in new place with all new people , she is dying out of nervousness but he is her husband . She needs to trust him and he needs to support her . He heard his mother saying she didn't ate anything since morning so he feed her otherwise she might have sleep with empty stomach . He didn't want his wife to stay hungry .
Shehnaaz took few bites , as their dinner ended with his stares and her looking at everywhere other then him .
He waited for her untill she washed his plate , keeping the plate back in the rack she looked at him . " Tum ye pani le kar jao mein light band kar ke ata hu " saying he handed her jug . Shehnaaz took the jug and came out of the kitchen .
You take this water and go , I will come after turning off the lights .
After locking the main door and switching off the light he laid beside her after keeping the mosquito jet . As soon as he slept beside her , her body tensed up .

As soon as his hand wrapped around her she jolt up with a scream making his eye widen and he immediately took his hand back . The elders woke up with her scream , " kya hua ? " The question raised .
What happened
She panicked looking at her husband who looked equally panicked and horrified of getting caught . He didn't imagined she could react this way , Shehnaaz looked at her mother-in-law and said " Vo chuha , dar lagta hai , mere pair ke uper se gaya " .
Their was a rat , I'm afraid , it came on my leg .
" Tik hai ise chilao mat , sojao " her mother-in-law said as she guessed it already what must have happened after looking at them .
It's okay , don't scream . Sleep .
As they laid back , Sidharth didn't dared to touch her again . The next day he went back to work without any conversation between the couple she was busy with house chores . He returned only when he felt hungry , evening his mother asked him to stay back as she wanted to take the couple to the temple for blessing .
Night everyone followed their routine and as usual Shehnaaz was waiting for sidharth who didn't came back after he left them from temple .
All the relatives left the next day of their marriage , their was no reception party as they didn't wanted to waste money because of Reetu education and then her marriage , it was fixed but they were waiting to complete her education .
Both were laying straight , after 10 minutes Sidharth turned to her side and slowly held her hand . Shehnaaz closed her eyes tightly not daring to open her eyes nor to look at him . Today he was late , he thought everyone must have eaten and slept but Shehnaaz was waiting for him .
" Late hogaya tha na , khayi kyun nahi tum abhi tak " he asked .
It's late , Why didn't you ate till now ?
" Vo apne kaha tha na hum roj raat me saath me khana khaenge " she said serving their plates . Sidharth smiled and kissed her forehead while cupping her cheeks and saying " Haa par jab late hojau tho tum kha lena , mera intzar me bhuki mat baitna mein bahar kha lunga kabhi kabhi " she nods her head with shy smile .
You said we will eat dinner together .
Yes but sometimes when I'm late you eat with everyone . Don't stay hungry while waiting for me , I will eat something outside if I'm late .
While feeding themselves he compliments the food as she made it for the first time .
Sidharth started to caress her soft flesh while moving to her side he whispered slowly in her ear " Bahut khubsurat lag rahe ho tum " . He didn't want to wake others and embarrass themselves .

As soon as she heard him and his hot breathe fanned on her skin she sat straight on the mattress breathing heavily . Sidharth also sat straight along with her asking " kya hua ? Tik ho " , Shehnaaz nodded in no not looking at him and trying to free her hand from his grip .
Are you fine ?
Understanding her fear from her body language he left her hand saying " So jao " .
Sleep .
