First Ultrasound: Malum

Michael:

You looked around the small waiting room, a nervous smile evident on your face.

Michael sat next to you. Your guys fingers interlocked with each other, as he rubbed his thumb in a soothing way against your hand.

"Calm down [Y/N], everything will be okay." He whispered in your ear, hoping to calm you down.

"I know," You sighed, your hand rested on your small baby bump. "But that doesn't stop me from worrying."

"[Y/N] Clifford?" A nurse called out, holding a clipboard.

You stood up, still holding onto Michael's hand. You two walked over to the nurse, holding your hand out for her to shake. "Hello, I'm [Y/N]."

"Hello," The nurse smiled back, skating your hand. "Right this way."

The nurse had taken your blood pressure and left, telling you the doctor would be in soon. A few minutes later there was a small knock on the door.

"Hello, you must be Mr. And Mrs. Clifford." The doctor said, placing her stuff down at her desk. "I'm Dr. Waters."

"Hello," You and Michael said in unison, making you both laugh.

After going over all the basics, and everything you need to know and do to ensure you and your baby's safety, it was time to see you little munchkin.

"Okay now Mrs.Clifford, this is going to be cold." She said, placing a clear gel on your stomach.

You shivered a little, surprised by how cold it was. You watched as the doctor frowned, before excusing herself out the room.

You looked at Michael in a panic, what was wrong? What was wrong with your baby?

"Michael, what if something bad happen?" You said teary eyed.

"I'm sure everything fine." He said, although it sound like he was try to reinsure himself.

"I'm terribly sorry to scare you," the doctor walked back in. "Everything is fine with the Babies."

You sighed in relief, laying back down on the doctor table. The looked back up, "Did you say Babies?"

"Yeah I heard Babies?" Michael questions.

"Correct, babies." The doctor smiled, "congratulations Mr. And Mrs. Clifford, your having triplets!"

You gasped, smiling proudly. A few tears spotted your face. You looked over at Michael.

"Michael were having triplets!" You cheered, hugging him.

"This is great!" He smiled, hugging you back.

"Congratulations." The Dr said. "You seem to be about four weeks along, and everything is perfectly healthy with them."

Calum:

You sat patiently for the doctor to walk in, Calum at your side, holding you hand.

He gave you a kiss on the forehead, reassuring you that everything will be just fine. He rested a hand on your slightly domed stomach, rubbing his thumb Against it.

"Hello!" The Dr. Said cheerfully, her blonde hair up in a very neat bun.

"Hello." You said quietly, a small smile on your face.

"Hello." Calum said, shaking the doctors hand.

She went through the basic with you. Making sure you were eating right, and everything you need to do to help you and your baby progress healthy throughout the pregnancy.

"Okay, now would you like to see your baby?" The doctor asked.

"Yes!" You said quickly, very excited to see your little one.

"Of course." The doctor said, "this might be cold, so be prepared."

She placed the gel on your stomach, moving a wand around.

"Here is your baby's heart beat." She said, pressing a button on  the ultrasound machine.

You listened carefully to the sound, a smile appearing on your face. The sound was angelic, it was your little baby was really in there.

"And here's your baby." The Dr. said, turning around her screen and showing you a black and white picture.

"There so small." Calum said with a smile.

You looked at your baby, a small little circle in the middle of the screen. Tears prickling your eyes.

"There beautiful." You smiled, pressing a kiss to Calum's cheek.

"You seem to be about  five weeks alone, everything is heathy with your baby and you."
