AnnaBeth's POV:

I sighed as I sat down in one of the chairs in the cafe. I was tired from the rush we had today. It's always so crazy here at the cafe because we are surrounded by big businesses. It wasn't near closing time but The Cookies knew what today was so they are letting me off early.

"Here you go, dear. Eat and drink this before you leave." Mrs. Cookies handed me a cup of green tea along with two cookies, a blueberry muffin, and a strawberry scone. She knows exactly what I liked.

"Thanks Mrs. Cookies."

"What have I told you about calling me that?" She scowled.

I laughed and threw my hands up. "Ok! Thank you Erin."

She laughed and walked away. I finished eating my sweets and finished my tea before heading back to grab my bag and head out the door. I need to go buy some flowers for dad. "Bye Erin. Bye Henry." I waved to The Cookies as I head out the door and went to the flower shop near by.

I looked at the varieties of flowers and knew what to buy when I saw it. It's the same flowers I bought each year for him since he passed. White lilies. I remember as a kid, I once asked him what were his favorite flowers and he said "my favorite flower is your favorite flower, pumpkin." He was the best father any little girl can ask for. I quickly paid for the flowers and went home before the tears starts to fall.

When I got home, I yelled telling mom I'm home.

"Hi sweetie. How was work?"

"It was busy as always." I smiled at her. "Are you ready to go?"

"Yes. Let's go"

I wrapped my arms around her and head out the door. The cemetery wasn't far from here. It was a 15 minute walk.

When we got to the gates of the cemetery, my mom stopped on her tracks and just stare out. She does this every year. She just needs a few moment to collect herself. It's always still hard on her. When she was ready, she smiled at me and said let's go. When we got to my dad's grave, I was the first one to speak.

"Hey old man. How are ya?" I chuckled. "Mom and I misses you, you know that? Pretty sure mom missed you more though. We brought you your favorite flowers. Hope you like them. Sorry we couldn't come visit earlier. I was still working. I know, I know. I shouldn't be working much and continue school. I will, one day daddy. One day. Your little girl will make you proud. I promise you that. I'm pretty sure mom wants to spend some alone time with you now. I love you, daddy, forever and always." I kissed the palm of my hand and pressed it against his stone. I stood up walked to my mom and kissed her forehead. "Take your time. Don't rush." She nodded and kneel down. I walked a little further away to give them privacy.

After about 20 minutes of mom talking to dad, she came to me to said to go home. I nodded my head as I stood up and wrapped my arms around her again as we started to head home.

"What would you like for dinner, honey?"

"Anything is fine, mom. As long as it's from you. I'll help you cook, yea?"

"No, you go home and shower. You stink." She laughed.

"Hey! I do not!" I protested and pouted then cracked a smile. We arrived home and enter. Before she leaves to the kitchen, I pulled her into a hug. "I love you mom, forever and always."

"I love you too baby girl, forever and always."

She went to the kitchen and started cooking while I headed to my bedroom and shower.
