Baron Knight POV:

The light was shining through the window. I groaned as I put my hand over my eyes to block out the sunlight.

"Hello handsome." I look next to me and tree she is. The brown hair girl I slept with last night. I ignored her and got up to go shower. I have a long day at work today with meetings and paperwork. I turned on the shower and let the hot water relaxes my muscles.

Fuck, I'm getting too old for this shit. I thought as I finished up in the shower and get out I get dressed. When I walked out, the woman was still in my bed smiling seductively at me. I walked to my walk-in closet to put on my suit. She was still on my bed waiting for me. I walked over to the bed and bend over next to her ear.

"I'm leaving. Enjoy yourself." With that, I left the hotel to go to the office. The look on her face must have been priceless! I chuckled as I imagine how it must have looked like. I unlocked my car and got in to drive to my company. As I was driving, I saw her again on the sidewalk walking into the cafe. Without noticing I turned and parked my car on the side walk. I turned off my engine and walks toward the cafe. Some ladies were walking by giving me the eye and whistling to me. I winked at them and I'm definitely sure I saw some I them tripped and stumble. Life is amusing, my friends. I walked into the cafe and scan around for her. I didn't see her and frown.

Wait, Why am I disappointed? I'm Baron Knight Davis! I don't do disappointment and chasing ladies. They chase me!

"Are you ok?

I turned as I heard that sweet voice. No! Stop thinking like that. I scowl at myself.

"Yes. Coffee. To go." I gritted my teeth.

"Say please." She crossed her arms.

I narrowed my eyes at her. "What?"

"I said, 'say please'" she said back.

"Get my coffee or I'll get you fired and ruin this place." I don't even know why I'm getting angry with her.

She narrowed her eyes. "AB is something wrong?" I turned and saw an old lady walk to her.

"Yea, AnnaBeth. Is something wrong?"

She gasp. Ha! Of course I know her name. I heard her mom yelling her name when Nate dropped her off. She turned to the lady and smiled, "I'm fine Erin."

She then glared at me. "I'll get you that coffee, sire."

She went to get my coffee and then Erin, the old lady, turned to me with her hands on her hips. "You giving her a hard time, boy?" God she makes me feel like a boy too.

I put my head down. "No, ma'am."

"Damn right you won't! You'll hear from me."

I nodded my head as she brought me my coffee.

I muttered a thanks, hand her a 20 and just left. What is wrong with me! I headed back to my car and drive to my office. When I got there, I discarded the coffee cup as I finished the last of it. I rode my private elevator to my floor and unlock my office and press the button to open my blinds.

"Turn off the light!" Nate groaned from the pullout bed.

I chuckled. "What are you doing here?"

"I took the cab here last night. My place is too far."

"See why I told you to find a closer place. Don't I pay you enough?"

"You don't pay me Mr. Davis. I own half."

"Yea yea. What are you doing in my office anyways? What about yours?" I went to sit behind my desk and start up my computer and looked at Nate. He shrugged, "Yours is more comfortable."

I shook my head. "Go shower. Meeting in an hour."

Nate got up and stumbled to the bathroom that I have in my office. I started getting myself ready for a meeting with Adam's Corp. If I can convince them to sell me 25% of their share, I can do something I always wanted to do. I continued with my work until Lola came in and told me Michael Adam is here.

"Send them to conference 2 and get them some refreshments. I'll get Nate and we'll be there shortly." I replied.

Lola nodded, "yes, sir."

"Thank you, Lola." I smiled. Lola has been with me since I started my company. She's a sweet lady and her husband is a wonderful man. He's lucky to have her. She deals with my bitterness sometimes, and I still wonder why she stayed with me. Bless her heart.

I heard the bathroom door open. "You ready, man?"

Nate fixed his hair, "yep."

"Alright, let's go." I grabbed all the files and we headed to conference 2.

Hello readers!

I'm a little down today. Long story short, people are not who they seem to be. You would think they know you after knowing each other for a while but nope, they don't. People will find things to use against you when you haven't done anything wrong. You ask for a favor after a whole year of slaving yourself for them and doing everything they say. You always listen to them complain about other people and support them. In the end, they use that one favor to threaten you and want to expose you when you're just being playful. I regret opening up and trusting that person this much. Never will I make that same mistake again and never will I trust and open myself up to this person again. I have never, in my whole living being, felt like this but there's a first for everything.

Anyways, thank you for being so wonderful and reading my story. Bless your heart.

Xoxo,
BabyPaisley
