When The Lights Go Out [on hold eue]

"Josh.. You need to wake up for school." said one of the caretakers. I winced in pain as I slowly rolled out of ny bed and fell on the floor.

"FUCK!" I get up and grab my towel and a pair of black skinny jeans and blue floral t-shirt and head out into the hallway. I went into the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I quickly undressed, and turned the shower nob to the right and stepped in. After about 10 minutes I got out and dried off. I gpt dressed as quickly as I could, but damp skin and skinny jeans don't go well together.

I walked out and threw my towel and dirty clothes on my bed and walked down the hall to the kitchen and got an apple for breakfast. I opened my door and quickly blow dried my hair and styled it then grabbed my phone and slid it into my back pocket and grabbed my bag and a hoodie.

I signed out and started walking to school when Tyler came running towards me. He put his hand on my shoulder, and I jumped back in pain from what they did to me last night.

"Uh... Hey, Ty."

"Hey. You okay?"

"Yeah.. Just sore..."

"Look.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that to you, Josh. I'm sorry."

"Do w-what?"

"We'll finish this later. I gotta go."

"Wait, Tyl-"He ran off back home and just left me walking. What was he sorry about? What could it be...?
Right as I got to class, the tardy bell rang. I've only been tardy once so it was weird for people to see me late. I got in my seat beside Tyler who aas really upset about something. I could see it in his eyes. "Hey, Ty, what's wrong?"
He just shook his head and told me to follow him to the bathroom in a few minutes. About 5 minutes later I went to the bathroom and opened the door looking for him.

"Hey.."

'Oh, hey. What's wrong?"

"I-uh.. We need to talk, Josh." We sat down on the sink counters and he startes talking.

"Okay. When I was leaving the home last night, I heard someone screaming at you. She said something about how 'just because you cut for him doesn't mean he likes you back'. Is that true, Josh? Do you like me?"

I looked at the ground and nodded.

"Okay.. And.. What makes you think that I don't like you back?" Before I could react, he cupped my face with his hands and kissed me.

"B-but-"

The bell rang for second.. "O-okay we need to go to 2nd before we get caught." I said. We grabbed our bags and headed for second. We sat down and got our homework out that everyone did in class, when our names wwnt on the intercom. We packed up again and walked to the office.

"What do you think they called us for?"

"I don't know.."

When we walked in the office, the door was slammed shut behind us. Devon. "What do you fucking want, Dev-" He was interrupted when Devon punched his face.

"Devon! Why the hell do you keep on doing this?!" I said unsure about what I just did.

"Look who's talking now,, If you don't get me something by the end of the day, your little scene that you shared in the bathroom is going up on the internet." she smirked.
"What 'scene' did we have in the bathr-"

"Oh, don't play dumb, Joshy!" She took her phone out and played the video of us kissing.

"I actually don't care, Devon. I'm not doing anything for you no matter what the consequence is." I said.

"Okay then, better luck next time,"

I stormed out of the building and ran behind a building near by, Tyler looking for me. I grabbed my phone and texted him.

J: behind the abandoned brick building to your right

"Josh! what's wrong?"

"I-i just did that. I just stood up to Devon. Me. Josh. I d-did that!" I yelled happily.

"Uh.. yeah!" I leaned in for a hug, only to be made into a kiss. A long kiss.

It started to rain.
"Wanna go inside somewhere?"

"N-no I love the rain," i said smiling, kissing. C'mon. Let's go somewhere." Tyler said, dragging me behind him. We ended up in an alley way. "Uhm.. why are we in an alley way?" "You'll see."
Soon, the rain started to fall from a net that was hung above us, and made this cool circle affect.

T: wanna kiss now

J: well duh

Then we kissed under the rain, until it started to thunder. We decided to walk to Tyler's house, because couldn't care less about school.

Once we got to his house, the door was cracked. We quietly opened the door and each grabbed something to use as a weapon. We heard screaming upstairs, so we crept upstairs and opened the door.
His mom. She was stabbed in the side, with the knife still in her.
"CALL THE AMBULANCE, JOSH!"
"Tyler....I-"

The bedroom door slammed open, and there was Devon.
"You did this. YOU JUST MURDERED MY MOTHER. NOW I HAVE NO PARENTS THANKS TO YOU!" He ran up to her and punched her until she grabbed his hands and ductaped him then me and locked us in the closet.

The paramedics burst through the door, and grabbed her and carried her to the van. And left us in the closet.

After about an hour if trying to reach my razor in my pocket, I managed to get it out and slowly cut through the rope on my wrists then i ripped the piece of ductape on my mouth. after untying his hands from the rope,
he started trying to break through the door, and we eventually got out and we drove to the hospital.
