"oh thank Merlin" Lucius let out a relieved sigh when he saw his son holding a baby with a head full of platinum blonde hair.
"DAD! That's not how you react to seeing your grandson for the first time!"
"What, I can't be relieved that he's still clearly a Malfoy?"
"He's a Potter" Draco corrected
"Yes but at least he's still blond" Draco looked at the baby then at his father 
"His hair color doesn't matter!" He says
"Draco, we malfoys have spent years being very selective with who we partner ourselves with and using magic to ensure only the best genes get passes down. when you said you wouldn't be using magic to conceive I was worried that Potter's rat's nest of hair would be passed down to my grandson"
"Father, you are not going to let your feelings about my husband dictate how you treat MY son."
"Of course not draco, he's a Malfoy"
"Potter. He's a Potter"
"He's still a Malfoy, he's your son"
"And I'm a Potter now too"
"He's my grandson then, and that makes him Malfoy enough for me"
"His name is James Sirius Potter"
"Potter didn't let you get any day in the name?  I gave you a whole book full of wizard names-"
"It was my idea" Draco looked at his father "well, I initially suggested Lilly as a girl's name-"
"Lilly is a muggle name-"
"Lilly is going to be your granddaughters name. Im the one carrying the babies for 9 months and pushing them out of my body, I get to name them."
"But-"
"If you don't shut up about it I am going to find the most muggle name I can find and that'll be our kid's name"
"They're going to be growing up in the wizarding world, giving them a wizard name would -"
"Maybe I'll name our daughter Hermione"
At that suggestion Lucius finally shut up about the baby's name.

"Relax, my father determined to be a good grandpa" Draco took Harry's hand gently "and my mom's there to keep him in check, James is gonna be fine"
"I just don't want him... Your dad's not exactly a big fan of me, I'm worried about what he's gonna be telling our son"
"He let you marry me" Draco looked up at Harry, leaning into him as they walked away from the  manor
"When I asked for his blessing he said and I quote 'no, but I don't suppose that's going to stop you, is it'" Harry said in a rather terrible impersonation of Draco's father.
"My mom thinks the world of you since you saved me from that feind fire, she's not going to let him talk bad about you to our son"
"I'd be more comfortable if we let someone else watch him-"
"Molly has-" Draco began to count under his breath "bill has 3 Charlie is ace, Percy has 2 the twins each had twins so that's 9, ron and Hermione have 2... 11 other grandchildren-" Draco concluded.
"What about-"
"They put our baby on a broom! Not to mention that muggle death machine Sirius has, that has no place being within 5 miles of a baby"
"It's a motorcycle" Harry sighs "and they were being careful-"
"They put a baby on a broom. An actual functioning adult sized broom. James could have been killed!"
"They wouldn't have let that happen" Harry shook his head
"Well I'm not leaving James alone with them for long enough for us to find out"
"Okay then what about-"
"all our friends have their own kids to worry about, and my parents are thrilled to watch their grandson" Draco pulls Harry into a kiss "now let's stop worrying about baby James and go have a fun day to ourselves"

"Mom is everything okay?" Draco looks at the phone which Narcissa was holding way too close to her face
"How do I turn the camera around?" She asks
"The button in the bottom right corner" Harry says "it's a camera with arrows on the lense-"
"G-pa! G-pa!" The camera flips around to show Lucius holding baby James who kept saying "G-pa!"
Draco hit Harry to get his attention Harry turned to look at his husband's phone.
"He called me grandpa before he called potter dad! I knew he was a true Malfoy, I mean just look at his hair"
