A few months later...
Kion sighed. Life at the Tree of Life have been great, but he was missing his family. He wanted to go back to Pride Rock, but he can't because he is the king, and he has his duties to do.
"Hi." Rani says, sitting beside him. "Why are you looking so down?"
"I miss my family and friends." Kion says, sadly. "I wish I can go back to Pride Rock."
"You can." Rani says. "I just need to tell Surak to take your place for a while and Nirmale to take mine. Baliyo can take your Lion Guard too."
"Ok!" Kion exclaimed happily. "When do we leave? Tonight? Tomorrow? Now?"
"Not so fast! We'll leave tomorrow. I can't wait to meet your family too." laughs Rani.
Nighttime...
Kion comes in the Tree to sleep. Rani was already asleep. Kion wondered what his family would say and think when they saw Rani and learned that he is the King of the Tree of Life. He hopes everything will go right.
