*Chapter 5*Waking up & Asked Out*
I woke up & looked around. 'Where am I? I hear beeping. A hospital?' I thought. I saw my left arm in a cast, stitches in my right arm. I looked & saw stitches in my chest & stomach. "It's about time you woke up." A voice said. I looked to see Charlisle. "How long was I out?" I asked. "3 months." Charlisle said. "Frank Tracy?" I said panicked. "Relax Mid. They killed themselves." Charlisle said. "It's over?" I asked. "Yes. You're safe again." He said. "Thank fucking God." I said relaxing. "You flatlined twice." Charlisle said. "I know. I was with Luke. What's my condition?" I asked worried. "Well. You have a concussion. Only minor. 3 of 5 ribs were taken out cuz the other 2 would heal fine. Your windpipe was bruised so you might need a nebulizer when you sleep. It will heal but it'll take time. You'll use a tube like you have now during the day but it'll be in a bag you can carry on your back. Your left arm was broken 4 places. Your right arm is stitched. & your stomach." He said. "When can I leave?" I asked. "Tomorrow." He said & left the room. Few minutes later the Cullen kids came in. "Glad your awake. How do you feel?" Rose asked. "Shit. Shocked. & happy." I said. "Why happy?" Jasper asked. "I got to see Luke, my dead brother. & my birth parents are dead." I said holding my chest. "You ok?" Edward asked. "Yea. Hurts to breath." I said. "Where's my family?" I asked hurt that they weren't here. "Charlisle sent them to your house cuz they weren't eating or anything." Emmett said. "I'll call them after you watch this." Edward said sitting next to me holding a video camera as it played a concert. Once it ended I was crying. "I can't believe I hurt them that much." I said feeling guilty. "Mid. Stop feeling guilty. It's not your fault. It's Tracy & Frank's fault." Jasper said as he calmed me. "Wait. The last song BVB played was Rebel Love Song. You requested it?" I asked shocked. "Yes. I asked Andy to play it. Will you go out with me?" Edward asked. "I'd love to." I said. "How bout this Friday after school? I know your family will want to spend time with you." Edward said. "Sure." I said smiling.
2 hours later I was still hanging with Edward & his siblings. "Lil Shadows! You're awake!" Dad said & gently hugged me. I saw a girl with Bri Jimmy & Zacky. "Hi. I'm Michelle but call me Chelle." She said. "But that's my name for you." Uncle Bri whined. "Deal with it Bri." Chelle said making him pout & us laugh. "I'm Leana. Jimmys girlfriend." Leana said. "Can I call you Le?" I asked . "Sure." Le said. "I'm Megan. Zackys girl." Megan said. "Carlisle told us you'll need a breathing tube like you're using now during the day & a neb (nebulizer) at night." Dad said. "Yea. Not to happy bout that. But I get out tomorrow." I said smiling. "Kool. We can back to CA." Zacky said. "Um I wanna finish school here. Sides Edward asked me out & I said yes." I told them. "Ok. Sounds easier." Johnny said. "What you mean Short Shit?" Jimmy asked. "Well since she's hurt & in the middle of the school year. It's easier to just finish here than transfer back. Plus I'm sure your dad would want to keep a close eye on her since he knows everything bout her condition. She don't have to stress over fitting in again." Johnny said. "Short Shit makes since this time." Bri joked. "Ok. We'll stay." Matt said. "Dad can I have Burger King?" I asked. "Chicken fries & satifries?" Dad asked. "Yup. & Water." I said. "OK. Jimmy & I will be right back." Dad said. "So. When can I go to school?" I asked. "Not for a few weeks. I've done your works & turned it in." Edward said. "When did you do that?" I asked. "Today." Edward said. "Thanks. Now I'm not behind." I said flinching. "What hurts?" Jasper asked. "My left arm." I said. Dad & Jimmy returned with food. "Food!" I yelled excited. Everyone laughed as dad gave me my food. I ate mine in 10 minutes. "Dam Mini Me. You were hungry." Uncle Jimmy said. I laid back tired. "Go to sleep." Uncle Zacky said. I fell asleep tired.
~The Next Day~
I was home in my bed sleeping when I felt someone shake me. "You need to get up. It's 3pm." Dad said. I sat up slowly as Dad took the nebulizer off & put my breathing tube around my nose. I groaned hating it. "Only 2 more weeks of this." Dad chuckled picking me up bridle style & taking me to the 1st floor. I was laid on the couch with my a7x blanket over me. "Are you hungry?" Bri asked. "No." I said. "But you didn't eat last night either." Uncle Johnny said. "I'm taking you to the Cullen house." Dad said taking me to the car & drove there. He got me out & Esme let us in. I was put on a couch as Charlisle came in. "What's wrong?" He asked coming over. "She's not eating. She didn't eat last night & she don't want to eat now. All she does is sleep. This isn't like her." Dad said. "Let's take the tube off & see how she does." Charlisle said removing it. "Have you boys eaten?" Esme asked Dad. "Uh. No. But I'm fine." Matt said. Edward came down & sat by me. "Not eating? Matt call the others I'll make you all something." Edward said. "Dude you don't have to." Matt said. "Esme & I want to." Edward said. "Dad do it. You won't win." I said as Alice & Rose sat next to me. Dad texted them & sat in a chair. Few minutes later my uncles came in & sat around. "Where's BVB?" I asked. "They went back to California." Dad said. "They have a tour they need to get ready for." Uncle Jimmy said. "Come eat." Edward said as the boys went to the table. I got up only for Edward to push me back down gently & hand me food. I ate it in 10 minutes. Alice took my plate as the others sat around. Edward sat next to me as there was a knock on the door. Esme opened it to see Bella. She came in & saw Edward next to me with his arm around my waist. "Why is she here?" Bella asked. "She was injured & her Dad got worried so he brought her to him." Jasper said. "Well I was wondering if Edward would go the Spring Dance with me." Bella said. "No. I'm taking Midnight." Edward said. "So get out." I growled. "Get it through your head that Edward doesn't like you. Move on. Your a creepy bully that no one likes. No one will cry the very day you die cuz you'll be a faded memory of a bully. Leave the Cullens & my daughter alone." Dad growled. "This isn't over." Bella said & left. "That's cool how you 2 growl & it sounds the same." Emmett said. "I got it from him." I said pointing to Dad. Dad growled & I growled back. "We should go." Dad said picking me up. "Thanks for dinner. It was good." Uncle Jimmy said. "Thanks & come by anytime." Esme said.
~Later that night~
I laid in bed with Dad next to me since he was uneasy with my bruised windpipe. "Night Dad." I said. "Night Lil Shadows." Dad said as we fell asleep.
~Bella's POV~
I know the Cullens secret. I also know the Volturi. I went to Aro knowing he'll help. "What can I do for you Bella?" Aro asked. "Another human knows bout you vampires. 6 humans." Bella said. "Who told?" Marcus asked. "The Cullens." I said coldly. "We must go at once." Aro said.
~End of Bella's POV~
'The Volturi are coming. They'll be here soon." Alice said. "Why are they coming?" Rose asked. "Bella. I read her mind. She told Aro that we told 6 humans of our secret." Edward said. "Dammit." Emmett growled.
