~CHARTER 1~ADOPTION DAY~
All the kids were in the living room. I sat on a swing seeing a nice black Mustang pull in. I looked away & got lost in thought. I heard someone sit next to me. I looked & saw a guy with big arms, black longish hair. He also had hazel eyes. He wore a Metallica muscle shirt showing his tattoos, & a lip ring on his bottom left lip. "Hi. I'm Matt Sanders." Matt said. " Midnight Rose." I said. "So. How long have you been here?" Matt asked. "6 years." I answered. "What music you like?" Matt asked. "Rock,metal." I smirked. "Fave band?" Matt asked. "A7x." I said. "Fave members?" Matt asked smiling. "You Zacky & Rev." I said. "May I ask how you ended up?" Matt asked cautious. "I was abused & tortured by my family. I have nightmares from it so I can fight sleep easy." I said looking away. "Dam. I'm sorry. How would you like to be my daughter?" Matt asked. "You sure you wouldn't want a non messed up kid?" I asked him surprised. "Who says your messed up?" Matt asked shocked. "Everyone." I said. "I don't think you're messed up. I think you're just misunderstood." Matt said. I looked at Matt then back down. "Do you wanna be Midnight Rose Sanders?" Matt asked. "Yea but can I change my middle name?" I asked him. "Sure. What did you have in mind?" Matt asked smiling. "Midnight Shadows Sanders." I said grinning. "I love it." Matt said smiling widely. I stood up & followed him to Miss Rece. "Oh. I see you met Midnight. You find anyone?" Miss Rece asked. "Yeah. Midnight." Matt said smiling. "You sure? She's messed up." Miss Rece said coldly. I looked down knowing Matt will turn away from me. 'There goes my hope.' I thought. "She is not messed up! & yes I want to adopt her!" Matt said annoyed. Miss Rece looked scared & led us to her office. Matt signed the papers & I led him to my room when he was done. My roommate, Lesa was there. "Are you here to adopt?" Lesa asked. "Yea, me." I said. Lesa was your everyday wanna be popular girl. "You? Yea right no one would want a messed up girl like you." Lesa said "No one would want a girl that goes after any guy that'll pay her." I retorted as Matt laughed at her stunned face. "Have fun bitch." I said following Matt. I got in his Mustang & we rode off. "I live alone. My girlfriend & I got into a fight & I kicked her out." Matt said. "Valery?" I asked. "Yea." Matt said. I noticed the pain in his voice & eyes so I changed the subject. "I planned on running away tonight before you came." I said. "Why?" Matt asked. "Cuz I gave up hope on finding a loving family. I gave up hope that a family would like me to be their daughter despite my past." I said. "Well I'm glad I got there when I did. You seem like a sweet, nice girl." Matt said. "Thanks." I said looking out the window. "What are your favorite colors?" Matt asked. "Black, blood red, light blue, light green." I said. "Favorite animals?" Matt asked. "Dogs, horses, snakes, huskies, wolves." I said. "Favorite bands?" Matt asked. "A7x, WAH (We As Human), Powerman 5000, BVB, GOTK (Glamour Of The Kill), Shinedown." I said. "Favorite movies?" Matt asked. "Jacob's Ladder & Queen Of The Dammed." I said. "That's Jimmy's favorite movie, Jacob's Ladder." Matt laughed.
We pulled into a huge 3 story house. We got out & Matt took my bag. We went in & a big dog came running to us. Matt laughed petting the dog. "This is Bella." Matt said. "Hi Bella." I said petting her. Matt showed me my room. I looked around amazed. "I love it!" I said. Matt grinned watching me. "Glad you like it." Matt said leaning on the door. I went up to him & hugged him. He chuckled & hugged me back. "Welcome to the family, Lil Shadz." Matt said. "Thanks for giving me a home." I said. "You're welcome. I have to go to the studio for a couple of hours. I'll be back. Make yourself at home. Love you." Matt said kissing my head & left. Once he was gone I unpacked & grabbed my IPod. I looked & found a song & started singing Lost by A7x:
