When I was a child, I aspired to be something.... To become someone big.
Big girl with big dreams, as you describe. I want to be a 'know-it-all' person. As a child, I dreamed about everything, wanted to do everything, desiring to be free from the rules they had always implied to me, and already wanted to know what the future holds. I was completely unaware of how the world works, how life really goes, and how cruel it could be.
As I have come older and am now attending my junior year in college, it's acceptable to not know everything at times. "Ignorance is bliss" — once said that one should not worry about anything if they are unaware of it, as stated from the Merriam Webster Dictionary.
The art of not knowing everything brings peace. For the sake of your own sanity, some things are better left unknown. Not knowing something won't come back to haunt you. And won't show up just to distract you. Sometimes, not knowing is a kind of protection, a safeguard against the endless worries that can consume our minds and keep us awake at night.

The older you get, the more you understand that there's peace in not knowing everything and letting things be can bring you comfort. You'll see that sometimes, not having all the answers is a gift. Letting go of the need to know everything or control every outcome allows you to breathe freely.

So, it's okay to not know everything. Be gentle with yourself. It's hard to pretend that you do not care at first but trust me... it will become natural as time will pass by. Once you have mastered that way... you'll find a kind of peace within.
"Hey, have you heard about — " Someone asked. I cut it off and gave them a simple reply because I know where the conversation will go.
