Calum gave Luke an incredulous look, confused as to why his friend would even bring Kalie up. Particularly when his girlfriend of two years was only in the next room over.

Kalie had been Calum's first everything. First kiss, first time, first relationship. It's hard to forget about your first. It's something about them that's makes you keep coming back. Something about the way they just know you.

Calum and Kalie's relationship is completely platonic so technically no harm, no foul, right? Sometimes Kalie would obviously come on to him and he would find himself struggling to let her down each time. Somedays he would want it to be the old days when things weren't so complicated and he didn't have these types of serious feelings for anyone.

But it's been about a month since his last reunion with Kalie which to date, there have only been around 9 or ten meetings with her since he and Cori became officially official. All he wants to focus on is Cori Thomas, his band, and his family.

So in response to Luke, Calum shrugged.

"If it was meant to be it would have happened."

And with that he joins his girlfriend and two other friends in the kitchen.

Snaking his arms around her waist, Calum planted light kisses along her neck before resting his chin on top of her head. Cori smiles, feeling Calum's warmth surrounding her brightened her spirits. It's pathetic how happy she makes him, but to her it just feels right.

"Guys not over the cinnamon rolls. Please. I have intentions of making sweet sweet gorilla love to those buns." Ashton complains while dramatically snatching away the pan of cinnamon rolls that Cori had previously been icing.

The five shared a laugh as Ashton "seductively" devoured a cinnamon roll and Michael caught it all on tape.

Although Cori did have her own set of friends, the three boys that were a package deal with Calum felt like family. She became a part of their stupid inside jokes and they were comfortable around one another. Not to mention they were all cute. Oh who is she kidding they were fine as wine. Finer than a ticket on the dash. Hot as hell. But she was loyal and left her homie hopping days back in middle school.
