Calum watched as she walked to his car. The braids that he was not yet allowed to touch, twisted and contorted into a bun the size of his steering wheel. Of course he was over exaggerating but where was the fun in not? His stare followed her until she plopped down into the passenger seat of his Range Rover.
"I still don't get why you pick me up every single day when I live around the corner." Cori spoke before placing a kiss to Calum's cheek.
"All in a day's work of being the best boyfriend in the world." He smiled as Cori rolled her deep brown eyes at the boy.
"Not to mention that 'around the corner' to you actually means down a street, around a corner, to the left, and up 4 blocks." Calum added before slipping his key into the ignition and the soft purr of the engine became audible.
Cori stayed silent while lacing fingers with Calum's free hand. The bakery that she worked at, formally known as Knead A Bite?, decided to close later than usual and the poor girl had been standing on her feet for an extra hour and a half.
Juice by Chance the Rapper played softly through the car's speakers as she twisted her head to look at the tan boy beside her, nodding his head to the beat. Yes, believe it or not Cori Thomas was able to put THE "punk rock" Calum Hood onto Chance the Rapper. The girl can work miracles when it comes to Calum.
Cori continued to watch as she watched him subconsciously chew on his bottom lip and tap his long fingers against the steering wheel. There were only so many words that could be used to describe Cal but Cori's personal favorite was Gorgeous.
From his chiseled jaw to his raven colored hair, in her eyes he was perfect. Everything she could ever want and more. At the young age of 19, people assumed that she was heads over heels in love, which she was but mama didn't raise no fool. Believe that.
"Are you still going to spend the night with us tonight, bae?" Cal inquired while moving his hand to the girl's upper thigh, rubbing light circles with his thumb.
Cori giggled at the way the word bae sounded, rolling off his lips. She weighed her options. She could either stay at home in her nice warm bed, eat cheez its, and watch her favorite show The Office on Netflix, OR she could be with her boyfriend and their friends Michael, Luke, and Ashton doing God knows what until God knows when.
"There's nothing else I'd rather do, boo." She concluded after looking at the boy who had pulled out his puppy dog face.
"But do know that I won't be smoking with you guys, nor will I play truth or dare, nor will I-" she was interrupted by Calum slamming on the breaks causing her to hit the dashboard due to not wearing a seatbelt.
After adjusting herself, she sent a sharp glare at the boy who currently had tears in his eyes from laughing so hard. Glaring turned into slapping him upside his head for thinking he was so damn funny, muttering an I'll kill you.
"You ain't funny and there is nothing I want more than to hurt you right about now."
Cal was still laughing his ass off to the point where there wasn't even a sound coming out anymore.
As he sobered up, he wiped the tears from his eyes and opened his mouth to speak.
"You know I'd never make you do something you don't want to, now come here." And with that, he placed his lips on hers.
*2 hours later*
"I dare you to go knock on the neighbors door with just a g string on."
"And where do you expect me to find a g string?"
"Don't worry, I have extras."
Cori watched Michael and Luke go back in forth in the truth or dare circle they all created as she, Ashton, and Calum passed a blunt back and forth. So much for sticking to her morals.
