The Unwelcomed

I had finally fallen asleep when Chase broke into my room. I was getting really tired of him breaking into my room and I was ready to scream to teach him a lesson but I saw his blue eyes even through the darkness of the night and they had a sense of urgency. "What are you doing here?" I demanded.
He motioned for me to calm down and said, " I can't tell you exactly what's happening but you have to trust me. We need to leave. Now."
I rolled my eyes. "If you don't want me to go on the trip you could have told me instead of putting on a show. And not to mention not allowing me to sleep a full eight hours since I've been here!"
I fell back on my bed and laid there looking at the ceiling as Chase tried to explain something about how we had to leave now and how I'm in danger, blah blah blah.
I finally looked up at him as he mentioned my parents, he had a desperate look on his face. "What did you just say about my parents?" I said as I narrowed my eyes suspiciously. Chase took a long pause before explaining that he was eavesdropping on the private conversation I had with my parents. "They are right to not trust the elders. I've been suspicious of them for some time too and I have a really bad feeling about this mission. No one is allowed to talk about it but before you got here there was an other girl just like you. She excelled at all she did. But, they sent her on a mission and...she never came back. I'm afraid the same thing will happen to you."
"So you don't think I can protect myself." I demanded.  "No, he shook his head. He looked like he hasn't slept in weeks, "I'm saying you shouldn't have too."
I was still kind of angry about him eavesdropping on me but I decided he was telling the truth. "Okay, I said, so when are we leaving?"
Chase smiled,"Immediately, I just have to get a few people. I believe you've met. I'll be back, meanwhile pack everything you think you'll need." After Chase left I wondered who he'd be bringing along but I couldn't think of anyone so I started packing. I didn't know what Chase planned to do so I just packed everything I brought with me. After all, who knows how long it would be until I get back. Just when I finished packing Chase walked in. "All set?" He asked. I had flung my duffel bag over my shoulder when I saw that the "people" he was going to go collect we're the two girls that attacked me during my first test. "You've got to be kidding me." I groaned. The red-head winked at me and smiled, "Hi, I'm Claire.". Then Chase pulled the blonde closer to him. The girl glared at me as he announced, "And this is my girlfriend, Lilith."
