*Natsume's POV*
After a few weeks after I met Sakura, she had joined the vigilantes and I had become a little disappointed. I know she has a life ahead of her, but she shouldn't have to do this kind of work.
Kinshiro told me, that they went to him. I got frustrated and started acting colder towards her. I didn't mean to send off a different vibe, but that's just how I am.
Time passed by and I started acting a little less cold towards her as she helped me in the library. Even though I act cold towards her, she still smiles at me.
"Natsume, I forgot where this book goes..."
"Again!? Ugh... Top shelf in the corner..."
"Sorry, thank you!" She said and hurried off to where I had pointed. It's strange. This feeling in my heart. When I'm near her, my heart speeds up. I clutched my chest and sighed. I looked up at her smiling and putting away the books. I couldn't help but smile too.
She glanced at me, I blushed, and looked back at my paper. I should just concentrate on my work for now.
Sakura walks up to my desk and asked "how many chapters are left?"
"This is the last one."
"Great! I can't wait to read it!"
"You still want to read it!?"
"Of course I do! I love you stories! They inspire me!"I blushed hearing that and said "well... It should be done by this week..."
"Alright, don't push yourself." She said and walked away. My heart pounded hard and fast against my chest.I wonder... What is this feeling? I thought to myself and let my mind wander.
The next morning-
I caught myself dreaming about Sakura last night. It feels like that wasn't the first dream I had about her. I'm feeling something that I haven't felt before. I asked myself one conclusion.Am I... In love with Sakura?
That same thought echoed through my mind and I felt my heart race as I thought about it. I really wonder...
Later- "Natsume, I wanted to go down and get us some lunch. Can I go, now?" Sakura asked. "Do what you want." I replied sternly but my heart raced. "What would you like?"
"Anything is good. Thanks."
"Ah, okay. I'll get something good! Be back in a bit!"As I watched Sakura leave, my heart began to ache. I had found my answer.
I love her.
I set down my pencil and leaned back in my seat. "What am I going to do now...?" I whispered to myself as I felt a gentle breeze coming from the front.
A couple minutes passed and I heard loud ruckus from outside. I looked over towards the entrance to see what I could make out, and what I saw, filled my heart with anger and rage. I stood up from my seat and walked outside quickly.
"Come on, it'll be fun."
"I told you to let go! I'm not going anywhere with you!" Sakura said trying to get away from a man's grip. He had wrapped his hand around her little wrist, and was pulling her closer to him as she struggled to break free.I gritted my teeth as I walked up to them. "What do you think your doing?" Sakura turned her head surprised but relieved. "Who are you!?" The man asked. I replied smacking his hand away from hers, and pulling her by the waist towards me. "I'm her boyfriend. You have guts to try and pick her up, in front of our store."
The man panicked as I spoke. Sakura whispered surprised "Natsume...? What are you...-?" She stared at me with her beautiful, big, green eyes. Her long, dark, hair wavering in the wind. I grinned at the man who had been backing away slowly. He then turned and ran away.
"Natsu- ah!" Sakura was going to speak but I dragged her into the library. We headed into the back where I sat her on the futon. I began to speak with red cheeks.
"Sakura, I want you to listen to what I'm about to say. It's important to me." She nodded and I said something I knew I would have never regretted.
"I love you."
