Chapter 5- I Love You

*Sakura's POV*

I gave Natsume my full attention as he said 3 words that made my heart jump. "I love you." I opened my eyes wider as his while face was flushed red. "Nat-"
"I have been in love with you from the start! Ever since we first met!"

I can't take much more of this... My heart is going to explode! Tears started to weld up in my eyes as he continued. "I love everything about you. The way you talk, smile, laugh, and th-" he stopped when he saw me in tears.

"What are you crying for!?" He asked surprised. "I-I'm just happy...! I didn't think that you... L-loved me too." The room went silent after I said that. A couple seconds later-

"T-too!?" Natsume shouted and I giggled with tears spilling from my eyes. "Yeah, too... I love you too, Natsume...!"

Natsume walked up to me and pulled me into his arms. "I kind of embarrassed myself there... I kept going on and on about how much I loved you..." I giggled wiping away the tears.

Natsume pushed up my bangs and kissed my forehead. He whispered "I love you, so much. I've never felt this way before.

"Natsume?" Someone called from the front "I'm in the back." Huh? Wait... I looked at our position and tried to get away from his grasp. "What? Are you afraid to show people?"
"I-it's a little embarrassing, don't you think?"
"A little but I'll live."

At this rate... I won't. One of the customers walked into the back and smiled. "Oh? You told me you two weren't a thing!"
"Well, we happen to be a thing now."
"Congratulations, both of you."

Natsume blushed and smiled. "Thank you." I looked down embarrassed and said "t-thank you..."

After we helped out the man that came in, he left and we went back to work. Natsume said "I've finished. Here." He gave me the book he was working on. "I can't wait to read it!" I said happily looking at the front. He smiled at looked at the clock.

"wanna go out for lunch now?"
"Sure. Where?"
"Let's go to the tea house today. You like that place, right?"
"Yeah, I love it." We walked out the door like we usually do but this time was a little different.

We held hands as we walked.

After work- right before he walked into his room...

"You have a job tonight, let's go!" We heard someone from the front. "Ugh... Coming! Let's go, Sakura." He said grabbing my hand and walked out of yeah back. There stood Sion, Hotaka, and Aoi. "Oh? Are you and Ms. Nanami a thing now?" Sion asked surprised. "That's right. Now, let's go."

We went to Kyokatei were Wakasa, Soji, and Kinshiro waited for us. He told us what our job was and then looked at me. "Are you prepared?" I nodded and squeezed Natsume's hand. He squeezed mine back and we jumped out the window.

We jumped roof to roof as we tried to locate our target. "There!" I said and pointed to a man walking down a road. "He matches the description. You have a good eye, Sakura." Soji said as we went to block off his path.

"Sakura, you will lure him into the ally. Alright?" Aoi gave me orders in what to do and I hopped down from the roof. "Be careful, you hear." Natsume told me as I prepared myself. I nodded.

We waited for the man to arrive and I walked towards the edge of the ally. There he is! I went farther into the ally and screamed dropping my lantern. The man looked over into the ally way shocked and asked "are you okay in there?"
"H-help...! My foot is caught...!" He ran into the ally and he crouched down beside me.

I grabbed my sword that was on my side and slides up the mans body. The man fell backwards and screamed in pain. Natsume dropped down from the roof and said "hell is waiting for you."

He thrust his blade into his chest and the man went still. Natume walked over to me and helped me up.

I looked up at the roof and saw Wakasa and Soji but...

Aoi, Sion, and Hotaka were not with them.
