Crewmate of Captain Blue Peter, The S.S. Hillenburg
Now I am quite sure that Ms. Scarbelly has informed you of our current task at hand.
To best Adam The Ant, Quartermaster of { The Alienated Ant Farm } to a penultimate battle to get our seventh crimson pieces of eight.
To say the least, I was feeling rather nervous.
I was no stranger to the rather unscrupulous characters I have come across my adventures on this ship alone.
However I realize that all of the ants were either mere grunts, janitors or cooks.
None of them so far have commanded a daunting decorum of discipline and respect than what Quartermaster Adam presented in his first impression alone.
Shakira commented his on his admittedly eccentric apparel but what was far more noticeable was how he carried himself.
He walked high on his legs below his waist. From a far, you could make the assumption that he was standing on his tiptoes, however that was merely how his feet are formed.
Adam pointed his cutlass towards us with his right upper hand, flourishing with his right lower hand in hand waves.
The flintlock take he wielded in his upper left hand, raised it above his head. Whilst his lower left arm, gestured with it to invite us to his challenge.
"Now then dandy dearies, you mustn't be shy." Quartermaster Adam declared.
"Aweh then!" Ricardo roared back as he charged head first into the fray.
"The wee lad blasting off again, best to charge along!" Miss Shakira Scarbelly proudly proclaimed as her barefeet slapped loudly on the dock as she followed Ricardo brandishing her cutlass and sword.
I took a gander at Annie who began the prop Aqua and her water barrel onto her front with all four of her forearms.
(A peculiar sentence that I've just made.)
As Annie carried Aqua they started to make their move to join my compatriots, I noticed that I was lagging behind.
Come on, Shears-Starkey. So far you have faced the most impossible of dangers.
You have survived drowning, Twice!
You have met a real life mermaid and they are nothing like the old horror stories
You have fought off giant ants
You have met a real life ZOMBIE and lived to tell the tale
You have even faced an unruly cook who tossed knives, plates and pans at you
And...most importantly you have made acquaintance with people you never at first even dream of meeting.
This new challenge may be difficult, but I am confident in that I will prevail now that I have friends by my side.
Come on, Shears-Starkey. No more procrastination. Your friends need you. Shakira, Aqua, Annie.....and Ricardo.
Thus I take a deep breath. Build up my courage. Grasping my cutlass and flintlock for support and if I am honest, for comfort...
...and take my steps forward to face Quartermaster Adam.
What became a brisk walk, became a steady sprint.
What became a steady sprint, became a blind gallop.
I closed my eyes to shield myself from the temptation to retreat.
The important thing I needed to do, was to get there. Hopefully then, everything else will fall into place.
As I could sense I got closer to the fight the more courage I gained to open up my eyes.
