The End (Last Chapter)

I took Asher's hand as we walked back home. Liam, Asher and me walked in silence all still in shock. I still couldn't believe i had to go up against Asher, the thought sickened me. "Can she even do that?" Liam said as we walked into the house. "I guess so" Asher muttered. I sat down beside Asher and our hands were still connected. "I'll give you both a minute" Liam said walking up the stairs. "Look, Asher. If I'd of known she was going to pull a stunt like that i would of never stayed in that show after me and you started dating." I said sitting around to face him. He nodded, "Me either, but it happened and we both cant give up now" he said stroking my hand. "I know, do we really want to carry on against each other?" i said. "Its the final next week. Its only one week." he said. I nodded in agreement. It still felt odd thinking i was going to have to fight against Asher.

"Lets party!" Liam shouted over the music. Liam decided we needed to cheer up so he decided a party was the best way to do that. Me or Asher wasn't really in the mood for partying but. We sat on the sofas staring into space. "Come on guys, cheer up! Liam shouted. I looked around and saw loads of people staggering about. "I'm going to get a drink" i said standing up. "Leah!" I heard Charlie shout. I turned round and Charlie lifted me in to a hug. "I heard the news" he said in my ear. He put me down and took my hand and lead me to the kitchen. He shut the door over blanking out the music. "I'm so sorry" he said standing next to me. "I cant do it Charlie. I cant be against Asher" i said resting my head on his shoulder. "You'll be fine. Its only one week to go" he said. "I don't know if i can last that long." i replied.

~~ Friday (The day before the final)~~

I'd been sat in my room from basically the night of the party. I'd seen Asher twice in that time. We had our own choice to impress this public this week so we could pick whatever we wanted. I picked Perfect Two by Auburn to sing by myself and Asher picked Let Me Love you by Ne-Yo but an acoustic version. I've probably practiced my song a hundred times. I heard a knock at my door. "Come in" i said hoping it was Asher. Instead Coleen walked in. I rolled my eyes and got back to clearing up my sheets of paper. "Look Leah, I understand you're probably pissed off with me but-" she said but i cut her off. "You're damn right i am, how could you do this to me and Asher." I said raising my voice.

"I'm sorry, I needed to spice it up a little and that was the perfect way to do it" she said sitting on my bed. "The perfect way? This is a disaster. Asher and me were finally starting to get things right and you messed it up Coleen." I shouted. She looked down, "I'm sorry" she said. "Yeah i heard you the first time, you can go now" I muttered. She sighed and stood up. "I'll see you at rehearsal later" she said before walking out. It felt good to tell Coleen that she was being a complete bitch. The fact that the record deal is based in Manchester made it worse. Even if me and Asher managed to make it through this. If one of us won then we wouldn't see each other anyway.

I saw Asher on my way in, he looked over and smiled. I smiled back at him and walked into my dressing room. I looked at the dress i was wearing for tomorrow night. It was a very dramatic type dress. It was red which also suited me. I heard my door open and i turned round and saw Asher. I smiled at him and stood up. "hey, I just wanted to give you this. You know for luck" he said passing me his ring that i wore for a while and flung at him. "Thank you" i laughed and put it on. "Yeah, i just wanted to let you know. What happens tomorrow in the competition, I........still hate you" he said and I started laughing. "Well i hate you too" I said slapping his arm. "Good Luck out there" he said walking out my room. I found myself wearing the biggest grin known to man.

~Saturday (The Final)~

I looked in the mirror. I was impressed at how i looked. My blond hair was curly and it looked nice. My make-up was just usual but with piercing red lips. My dress fit me perfectly and i twirled round, impressed with it. "Final Call" I heard coming from the speaker in my room. Once again the thought of live television was making me want to bring up my breakfast. I walked out and walked along the hall ignoring my shaking legs. I saw Asher and gave him a hug. "Don't let me down out there" i whispered in his ear. "You either" he whispered back. "Please welcome, One of our finalists. Leah!" Coleen shouted. I smiled at Asher nervously and made my way out on stage.

You can be my hero and i can be your sidekick, You can be the tear that i cry if we ever split, You can be the rain from the cloud when its stormin, Or you can be the sun when it shines in the morning...

I'm not going to lie. The song nearly had me in tears. I looked at Asher as i walked off. I walked right past him trying to hide my tears. I made my way down to the audience just as Asher was walking on. I stood at the stage door and watched him sing.

Much as you blame yourself , you cant be blamed for the way that you feel. Had no example of love that was remotely real. How can you understand something that you've never had. Ooh baby, I can help you out with all of that...

I sang along to every word. Now this did have me in tears. If it wasn't for this competition i would never of looked at Asher twice. I walked through the stage door and made my way back stage. Asher noticed that i'd been crying and walked over. "Are you okay?" he asked concerned. "I hate you, you made me cry" i said punching his arm. "Sorry" he said laughing. "Now can we have all the contestants out on stage please?" Coleen said. I took Asher's hand and we walked out on stage. I gripped tight on his hand.

"I can now tell you the public has voted for our winner. And the winner is.......Asher!!" Coleen said and everyone began cheering, he pulled me into his arms. "Well done" i said in his ear. He laughed and put me down. "Asher, you've won yourself a record deal!" Coleen said walking up to him with the mic. "How does it feel?" She asked him. I smiled at him as he looked like the happiest person in the world. "I feel great, Thank you Leah, thank you so much" he said in to the mic. I nodded at him and could feel tears of happiness roll down my cheek. "Is there anything you want to say to your co-star Leah?" Coleen said pointing the mic in my face. "Well done Asher, You deserve it" i said with a smile on my face. He picked me up again and swinged me around.

Asher and I went home, he said he just wanted to think everything through first because he would have to leave. The record deal was not in England and I don't think I could go with him, I would be a distraction. Asher's phone went, "could you get that for me" Asher shouted, he was in the kitchen, I checked i it was a text message 'sorry Asher you need to leave tonight, the limo will come around 9pm C' I looked at the clock it was 8pm. I told Ashe that he would have to be ready, He held my hand "Come with me?" He asked, I shook my head, "Asher I will just be a distraction" I said smiling and letting go of his hand to go upstairs. I started to think everything I needed away for a bit, I started to pack things, like shorts and trousers and tops and make up. I heard knock and then come in, "You decided to come with me" He said smiling, "No Asher, I need tie alone, I have became someone I did not want to, I have became a little bitch like Alexa, I need to be alone and find myself, I am going to tour Europe." I said smiling. I turned my light off and walked downstairs, I phoned a taxi and waited, "Please Leah it is not to late, come with me" Asher begged, I just shook my head. We could hear two horns beep, Asher and I walked out, Asher was about to get into the limo "Asher, I hate you" I said smiling, "Fuck that" He ran up to me and kissed me, "I fucking love you Leah" He said kissing me again, "I love you too" He kissed me one last time but this time it lasted forever.

I got in the taxi and burst into tears. The taxi was quiet until Asher's new song came on, I looked at the picture of us on my phone and hugged it, Have I just made a big mistake? I then got a text from Asher 'This wont be the last time we see each other, I promise x' I smiled at the text and started singing along to his song.
