As the students of Miyagi-Do stood across Cobra Kai, the feeling of betrayal was strong.
Gunther made his way over to the podium and began to announce, "Welcome, competitors, senseis, sponsors, and esteemed guests to Barcelona, this year's home of the world's greatest karate tournament, the Sekai Taikai."
Everyone began to clap, some even cheer. This was a big event. The biggest in the world.
"The Sekai Taikai boasts a rich and proud history." Gunther continued, "And if you are here, it is because you embody all that the Sekai Taikai stands for. Leadership, respect, sportsmanship. Captains, step forward and tie on your headbands."
All the captains from each team began to step forward. Robby and Amara shared looks before taking their step forward. They held out the headbands and began to tie them around their heads.
"Captains, you will have the honor and privilege to compete in our televised tournament of champions. But that is only if your dojo does well enough in our team competitions to make it to the final four." Gunther said, "Once the tournament is over, we will then tally all the points your dojos have earned. The dojo with the most points wins the Sekai Taikai. Team events begin tomorrow."
Amara couldn't help but look at Tory the whole time, she glanced up at her brother, "Did you know?" She asked.
"Each event counts."
Robby turned his head over to Amara, "No."
"And they will all be a surprise."
"I swear." Robby said, as he looked back at Tory.
As Amara stood across from Tory, she couldn't help but feel betrayed, especially by the girl who was becoming one of her close friends. The two girls made direct eye contact and quickly looked away, but Amara looked a little while longer. Amara glanced over to see Kreese staring over at her. She thought that he was dead but turns out he had just busted out of prison.
She then looked back over at Tory. Tory had this look on her face of determination, the same look Amara had when she was working with Kreese before Eagle Fang, before Miyagi-Do. Tory almost looked trapped back in Cobra Kai.
"But today, it's about enjoying our host city and making new friends." Gunther spoke, "Or enemies."
The tension was heated between dojos and competitors already. Especially with Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do.
"We have a field trip arranged for our competitors. And for our senseis, a cocktail mixed with our distinguished sponsors, some of the world's finest martial arts brands. It's a beautiful day to make a first impression. And I suggest you enjoy it, because tomorrow, your lives change forever. Good luck, and welcome to the Sekai Taikai."
The students and senseis clapped and cheered all in one in excitement. This was officially the beginning of a new journey.

Robby and Miguel came back into the lobby of the hotel with a cart with all of their things on it. All the students grabbed their bags as Devon handed Amara her key card.
"Here's your copy." Devon said, "We got lucky enough to get a room with three beds."
"Thanks." Amara said, as she looked over at Sam, "Is Sam still mad?"
"Yep." Devon looked back at the girl as she then walked away.
"All right, which room do you guys want?" Robby asked as he had two key cards in his hand.
"Uh, I'll... I'll... I'll go with you." Demetri said, as if he was nervous once he took one of the keycards from Robby.
"Really?" Miguel questioned, "I figured Robby and I would-"
