The Sekai Taikai ended in a tie. For the first time in a long time. It would be up to the senseis from each dojo to fight it out.

Amara laid on her bed in the apartment building, scrolling on Instagram. She was getting several offers to colleges and several messages from national karate champions congratulating her.

She heard a knock on the door, "Come in." She smiled,

Miguel opened the door and walked in, "There's the Sekai Taikai champ."

Amara chuckled, "So are you."

"Yeah, but your fight was pretty badass."

"Yeah, it was, wasn't it?"

"So, I have to tell you something." Miguel said,

Amara sat up and looked at the boy worried, "What?"

"I uh... I got into Stanford."

"What?" Amara smiled, standing from her bed, "Miguel, that... That's huge." She ran up to him and hugged him tightly. "We have to celebrate. I think there's still a keg by the dumpster."

Miguel laughed, "Yeah, yeah. I don't want to celebrate just yet. In fact, I don't think I want to celebrate at all."

Amara chuckled, "Okay, fine, how about me and you celebrate with the some ice cream?"

Miguel smiled, "All right, deal."

"Sweet." Amara began to run out of her bedroom cheering throughout the house, "Miguel is going to Stanford!"

Miguel laughed, hearing how happy she was for him.

"Um, yes." Miguel smiled, "Uh, s-so I got into Stanford." He shared,

"What?!" Sam said, amazed, hugging him tightly, "Oh my God! That's... That's amazing!"

"Good for you, Miguel." Daniel smiled,

"Wow. So... So they saw your victory and reached out?" Sam asked,

"No. No, no, no. They accepted me while I was fighting. I... I guess it was in my inbox while I was on the mat." Miguel explained,

"They wanted him for his hard work and character, not just his badass karate skills."

"Congratulations."

Sam and Miguel looked at one another, "You got what you always wanted." Sam told him,

"And you're getting what you wanted." He told her, "I guess it's a... happy high school ending for the both of us."

Amara glanced over at Robby as he sat next to her, "So we're chopped liver?"

"Yeah, pretty much." Robby chuckled,
