NOT goodbye

chapter 3

school was all a complete blur and i didn't eat anything at lunch, i wasn't that hungry.

(A/N they are at lunch rn)

"comon gracie not even applesuce?" marie asked

"i'm really not even hungry" i laughed

"just eat it, for meeee" daniel begged

"fine, just give me the sauce...lets get saucy!" i yelled

"yay!" they both laughed

on the way home daniel and i held hands again and marie saw a boy that caught her eye and was asking daniel about him

"hm yea i like baseball players but is he good?" marie questioned

"yea i'm pretty sure he's one of the best on the team." daniel said

"i'll be right back" marie winked at daniel and i

"hey, i'm sorry, again" daniel said once marie left

"it's really okay, don't worry about it my dad was just in a, mood" i said

i could see marie flirting and the boy, i think his name's cole, was flirting back,i'm happy for her:) when we were almost to my house and marie was already hand in hand with cole daniel stopped walking and held me back so i wouldn't walk any further either.

"gracie i'm really sorry, and i think i really like yo-

"yea me too," i cut him off

we both just smiled then he leaned in and kissed my cheek. HOLY SHIZA HE GAVE ME THE BIGGEST BUTTERFLIES EVER IT MADE ME FEEL LIKE MY STOMACH WAS GONNA FALL OUT MY ASS...in a good way lol.

"i'll see you tomorrow" he smiled letting go of my hand

"when do i ever miss a saturday hangout?" i say

"never?" he questioned

"exactly, see you tomorrow!" i waved

marie came running towards me with a huge smile on her face

"what happened?" i asked about cole obviously

"got his number and we are going on a date, tonight!

"let's go get you ready!!"

"yay!" she screamed running towards my house

i walked in and saw my mom and dad both sitting there and i told them i was helping her get ready for a date. I ran into Nolan on my way to my room and he asked how school was and i just told him everything was good, even though i was questioned a lot and i just kept saying i ran into a wall.

"come out!" i screamed to marie as i saw her walk out of the bathroom

she looked gorgeous

"damn i have amazing fashion taste!" i said

"shut up" she laughed, "do i look okay?"

"you look amazing!"

"thank you so much bestfriend, but i gotta get going!" she exclaimed

"go!" i shooed her"tell me all about it later!" i said

she nodded and winked at me before she left

then daniel texted me

D- Hey! do you wanna spend the night at my house tonight?

G-yea sure!

D-alright, see you soon...love you bestfriend!

G- love you too!

i have slept over at his house before and it's not a big deal to my parents but this time i better actually tell them where i'll be tonight!

"mom, i'm staying the night at Daniels!" i yell walking downstairs

"you're mother isn't home." my dad said drinking straight vodka

"oh, well um i'm staying the night there." i said walking to the door

"no you're not get you're ass back in this house!" he demanded

"stop dad, you're drunk and not in you're right state of mind" i said quietly

he came up to me and grabbed me by my shoulders looking me in the eyes

"where's you're brother?" he asked

"his friend's house and i'm going to mine" i said trying to pull away from his grip

but all he did was pull me closer to him and close enough i could smell the alcohol on his breath...

"let go of me!!" i demanded

i tried to squirm out of his hold but he just made it worse...then he slapped me, again and punched my stomach. i immidietly fell to the floor crying and looked up to see my dad in schock of what he just did. my face felt like it was burning and my stomach felt like i was out of breath.i quickly got up and ran out the door to daniels house. i heard him come out the door and scream something but i just kept running. when i got to his door Daniel anwsered and i just fell into his arms because i couldn't hold myself up anymore.

Daniels Pov (YAY!)

i opened the door to see Gracie standing there looking like she just got beat up then ran a mile. she fell into my arms and i picked her up bridal style and ran her into the kitchen. I sat her down on the counter and got her a glass of water. Once she caught her breath she wrapped her arms around me and just cried.I already knew what had happened. Gosh i hate to see her cry. it kills me to see her so hurt. she means the world to me and all i want (ahahahhahahah see what i did there) is for her to be happy. When she stopped crying i took her upstairs bridal style and layed her on my bed.

"do you wanna talk about it?"

"no" she quietly said her voice sounding damaged

"you just lay here i'll be right back!" i ran downstairs to get popcorn and applesauce cause its her favorite and i went back upstairs.

"pick a movie" i said turning on netflix

she picked the notebook and i just laughed.

"whatever you want princess" i said

she giggled but then grabbed her rips

"owwowow" she said

" gracie are you okay?!" i asked

"yea it's just my ribs hurt" she said

still laying on her back i lifted up her shirt so i could see her stomach and she had huge red marks all over her stomach. i felt so bad and offered her ice but she didn't want any. We were laying next to each other on my bed with my arm around her and her head in my shoulder. once she was comfy i started the movie.

"i love you" she said

"i love you too" i kissed her forehead

a little while into the movie i didn't hear her crying yet so i looked down at her and noticed how peaceful she looked sleeping. she is so cute when she's sleeping, and when she's not:) she was sleeping on her stomach with her head still in my shoulder. i hope she's going to be okay, i thought as i drifted off to sleep.
