I remembered when the realization hit me that Mason never really could love me. That all those times he said it, he was lying. I heard him on the phone, wanting to scream at him. How could he do this to me? Why did he do this to me? Most of all, why didn't he tell me?
"5 is fine" heard Tracey say. What! 5, thats a half hour from now. Oh my god. When he hung up. I felt ready to pass out. They lead me to Lauren's bed and as I laid down I was already asleep.
I saw Mason standing in front of me.
"I lied. I never knew if I did love you." Right then and there I felt my heart shatter. Mason looked at my feet so I looked too. At his feet I saw a red glass heart with the very tip snapped off. Then I noticed I had one too, but mine was shattered into a million pieces. Mason bent down and picked up the pieces. He had one eye that looked so sad and one looked so happy, yet his face was straight with no emotion. He handed me the pieces.
"I'm sorry. I know there's no fixing yours." I watched him hand me the pieces. He stared at my hand holding them. A single blood red tear dropped onto the pieces and I knew it was mine. Next, a single clear tear dropped onto the pieces. I looked up at Mason and saw his eyes filled with tears. One of joy, one of sadness. I knew the tear had come from the sad eye.
He picked up his heart, but not the tip.
"Keep it," He whispered "I am officially a part of you" then he walked off. I collapsed onto my knees and picked up the tip of his heart. I held it t my chest and whispered, "I love you, I always loved you, and will never stop loving you

My cheeks were hot with tears as I woke up. My face was stuck to the pillow. I sat up, dried my eyes and looked at the clock. 5. Wait, 5! Oh my god. Mason is already here. I got out of bed and walked down the stairs only to see my girls lined up on the outside of the doorway talking to Mason, and by the way Tracey was standing, they were getting nowhere.
"What's going on?" I said loudly. They all turned to look at me.
