I could have kissed her for hours. I finally knew why I felt the way I did all these years.
What are you talking about? Shoot. She pulled back.
"Well..." I didn't know how to explain this without her freaking out.
"Spill it." She was giving me the death glare.
"One of the reasons I started dating you was because whenever I saw you not next to me, or upset or something like that, my wolf started growling and freaking out." Disappointment and anger. She was gunna' have a fit.
"So, one of the reasons you started dating me was because your wolf didn't like me away from you? How many other reasons were there?" She was getting herself worked up. She stood up.
"Yes and there was one other reason. The fact that I agreed with my wolf and after the first time I saw you, I was pinning for you without even realizing it. I was eating one third the amount I normally did, my grades dropped, I barely got enough sleep, and I lost every time in self defense training. All that happened without me even realizing it. Then my aunt found out I was pinning for you. She told my parents about you and they thought it might be okay for me to date a human, as long as I understood the consequences. That I would have to leave you at some point. Last night they told me I was getting too attached and that I had one month to break it off. But now we can be together. So you see, all this time, I loved you without knowing it" her head was pounding. I could tell she was going to black out soon.
"Come on, let me take you to your room" I said while standing up.
Can you walk?
"Yeah, i'm fine, just a headache, thats all." She tried to take a step and she nearly fell. I caught her and picked her up in my arms.
"No your not. I'm carrying you up"
Thank you. She hoarsely said in her mind.
No, thank you for not running off, screaming. She chuckled, which just made her head hurt worse.
Do you want me to tell your friends that were mated? We were inside by now, Janna's friends stared us. Her head leaned against my chest, on the brink of sleep.
If I fall asleep, wait until I wake up.
Okay. Does your head still hurt? Do you want anything? By now I was walking up the stairs
An aspirin and hot chocolate with whipped cream. She fell asleep in my arms as I opened Lauren's bed room door. I tucked her into the bed and could tell she was sleeping here earlier. I kissed her on the forehead and whispered to her.
"I love you." I decided to get the hot chocolate and aspirin when she woke up. I closed the door behind me, and braced myself for Janna's friends to start bombarding me with questions. I walked down the stairs and the three of them sat on the kitchen counters drinking hot chocolate and eating Oreos. As soon as they heard me come down the stairs their eyes turned towards me.
"What the hell did you do to Janna?" Tracey screamed.
"Why on Earth was she knocked out?" Lauren asked in normal tone. Quinn sitting across form the other two. You could tell she was waiting on my answer, because however I answered would decide if she would try to beat the crap outa' me.
"She wasn't knocked out, she fell asleep. She was crying so much, it must have been exhausting." Quinn seamed a little less like she wanted to beat the crap outa' me.
"Why was she crying so much?" Lauren scrutinized.
"She told me to wait until she woke up to tell you guys. She also said she wanted an aspirin and hot chocolate with whipped cream." I started looking around the kitchen cabinets until I found the hot chocolate packets. I kept looking and found the mugs. I put them on one counter.
"Tell us what?" Classic Quinn. Trying to get me to spill.
"If I told you without her, then I would be breaking my word. Where's the aspirin?"
"Bathroom cabinet." Lauren said. I walked down there and got the aspirin bottle. We all waited silently in the kitchen until 6:30 and Janna was waking up. I started to walk towards the stairs to give Janna the aspirin and hot chocolate.
"Where do you think your going?" Tracey said.
"I'm going to give Janna the aspirin and hot chocolate." I said without stoping.
"How do you know she's awake?" Quinn said. I still didn't stop. Just kept walking, ignoring the question. I walked into Lauren's room and put the stuff on the bedside table.
"Hey beautiful." I said. She woke up and smiled up at me. The most beautiful thing in the world. Seeing my mate smile.
"Hey yourself." She whispered. I couldn't resist grinning. I helped her up then handed her the aspirin and a glass of water. She tossed the pill into her mouth and drank half the glass. "Thank you"
"No problem. Anything for my beautiful mate." I said as I brushed a finger across her cheek. She leaned into my hand. God, I loved her. "Your friends are going to kill me if we don't get downstairs and explain everything. They're crazy worried"
"Okay, lets go." She said. She just wanted to get this over with. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and sat there, trying to get her bearings. I helped her stand by her arms, waiting for her to get adjusted. Once she was able to stand, she finished her water and picked up her hot chocolate, then we started down the stairs, me in front of her. I was not going to let her get hurt after I had just found out she was my mate. Everyone was staring at us as we came down the stairs.
Great, just great. Someone had called my parents.
