~With Jade~

Jade found herself surrounded by the looming presence of the dementors, her heart racing with terror and uncertainty. At that moment, her mind was a whirlwind of panic, making it nearly impossible to devise an escape plan. In that moment of sheer terror, her foot inadvertently nudged a small stone, prompting a sudden realization that if she were to face her demise, it might as well be while embracing her passion.

With a determined flick of her wrist, Jade transformed the unremarkable rock into a grand piano, its surface gleaming under the dim light. As her fingers danced across the keys, she let the melody flow from her fingertips, pouring her soul into each key. The oppressive weight of her fear lifted for a brief moment, replaced by the soothing rhythm of the music she adored. It was a spell, not of incantation or wand work, but one of pure emotion and will.

As her voice finally rang out, rich and resonant, it filled the air, weaving a tapestry of sound that momentarily dulled the presence of the dark creatures surrounding her. With every lyric, Jade felt her anxiety begin to dissolve, carried away by the beauty of her song. Yet, the dementors remained, seemingly impervious to the power of music. They hovered, their rancid breath assaulting her senses, their cold fingers inching closer to her soul.

I'm Still Standing! - by Taron Egerton

"You could never know what it's like... Your blood like winter freezes just like ice... And there's a cold lonely light that shines from you... You'll wind up like the wreck you hide behind that mask you use..." As Jade sang, her thoughts drifted to the expressions on Draco and Lucius's faces when they encountered people who chose not to see beyond the surface, missing the essence of who they were. The lyrics resonated with her feelings of being misunderstood and underestimated.

"And did you think this fool could never win? Well look at me, I'm a-coming back again... I got a taste of love in a simple way... And if you need to know why I'm still standing, you just fade away..." With a furrowed brow and a heavy heart, she sang, which reminded her of the betrayal of the Greens, who had abandoned her without a second thought when her identity as a witch came to light. Her voice grew stronger, filling the air with a fierce defiance that even the dementors seemed to feel.

"Don't you know, I'm still standing better than I ever did... Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid... And I'm still standing, after all this time... Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind..." her voice was laced with sadness, her smile a poignant reflection of her feelings. The piano's melody grew more complex, each note a declaration of her resilience.

"I'm still standing..." Jade suddenly realized that she was not alone in her struggle; the Dementors loomed ominously around her, but they were not the only presence in the shadows. To her surprise, several professors had arrived, their faces etched with concern, and among them stood Lucius, his expression betraying a deep worry for her well-being. The sight of him stirred a warmth in her heart, a flicker of hope amidst the darkness.

"(Yeah, yeah, yeah) I'm still standing... (Yeah, yeah, yeah)" She continued to sing with a fiery passion, her eyes locked on the horrifying figures surrounding her. Her music seemed to resonate through the very fabric of the room, pushing back the shadows and filling the space with a light that was uniquely her own.

"Once I never could hope to win... You starting down the road leaving me again... The threats you made were meant to cut me down... And if our love was just a circus, you'd be a clown by now..." As Jade sang, memories flooded her mind of living with the Greens, where she desperately tried to blend in and act like everyone else. But when her temper flared, her unintentional magic would reveal itself, causing embarrassment for them all, a secret she hadn't even known she had at the time. The piano's chords grew bolder, the music swelling with the intensity of her emotions.
